Keep in mind that Vanderbilt has no business being in the SEC, and he made them competitive even though they had no NFL talent except these guys:

2007: nobody
2006: 1st rounder Jay Cutler QB
2005: 6th rounders Jovan Haye DE & Justin Geisinger G
2004: nobody
2003: 5th rounder Hunter Hillenmeyer LB

It's pretty amazing he won a game at all considering he's the only Commodore first day draft pick of this millineum, and he's playing in college football's toughest conference.

Certainly not singlehandedly. Cutler was a top rated prospect and with good reason. He's still rated by some as the best QB to come out of that draft

Peyton Manning or Tom Brady never became super QB's overnight and neither did Elway.

You're right there is no guarantee no matter where you're drafted.

But in truth you wont see the real Jay Cutler until Shanahan gives him a chance and opens up the full playbook. It's a well-known fact Jay's been using a condensed playbook since day one. He opened it up a bit more against the Steelers and for the first time this season the team scored over 30 points and that minus your best receiver and offensive lineman.

I knew something seemed off. A thread was started when Cutler went over .500.

I guess the chief troll is trying to cook the books by including college, which would put Culter under .500. Then why don't we include high school. I'm sure that would put him back over the .500 mark. He was 26-1 over his Jr. and Sr. year.

This thread reeks of desperation. I guess I would have a hard time being excited about Huard and Croyle also. And, here's another thought - the Chiefs might decide to go with the "status quo" in the offseason as well. You might just have the same arrangement next year. They will say Croyle has "matured" and had a "great camp," but you know deep down inside your gut feeling is right about Croyle.

You don't like Cutler because he feels like he might be a real franchise QB. He leads our team on fourth quarter game winning drives, and doesn't crack. He can score points throwing, and can run. This kid is learning every week, and if I were a Chiefs fan, I would be pretty pissed my team hadn't drafted a top-tiered QB also. You guys used to have an awesome offense, but your opportunity passed you by. Gonzales is still among the best, but he is getting old. If LJ goes down, you are sunk (except for your D).

We have had a ton of tragedy and mayhem and still our team is holding together, or "reforming" for a better term. We are already retooled on offense, and set for a good run the next 5-8 years. It must be hard for a Chiefs fan...

You're out of the loop. Let me catch you up.

1st, this thread is a repost of a thread I started before this season. It was based on Cutler not having a winning past. ie, his college carreer.

The premise was to simply ask donk fans if as a pro would he break .500 this season. For the 1st time.

I cant remember any saying yes BTW.

Let's recap.

In answering 2 seperate questions, there can be 2 separate answers. When I say will Cutler break .500 for the 1st time in his Carreer? That means he hes not broken .500 in his college carreer. Will he break it in his NFL carreer, this year?

The fact that you attempt to put the two separate answers together in an attempt to act like they were answers to the same question is indeed crafty. You might even get a couple of low brows to bite on it. But you and I know the context in which those answers were meant. Knowing this, then you know I realize that you are using smoke and mirrors to combat an issue that you have no real ammunition for.

Jason in LA
10-25-2007, 02:19 PM
You are changing the meaning of the topic to fit your argument. I guess you didn't realize that Cutler broke .500 earlier this year. So then you wanted to include his college numbers. Now, I think you are trying to go by single seasons. You are all over the place.

Let me rephrase then so we both understand what I mean.

He aint never done ****.

I predict he wont do **** this season either.

Now surely, we can agree that I am at least half right.

Get it?

You know after 60 posts on this thread and about 100 on the other, not one person has stepped up and said they think Cutler will have a winning season. Or at least, I dont remember one.

All posts have been spent on knee jerk reactions to a poster that obviously intimidates most of you.

It's just a yes or no question. Simple.
