Seen any good movies lately? Give your reviews and your thumbsup/down. I'm always interested in adding to my Netflix Q movies that others have highly enjoyed that I and others may not have seen or don't know about.

One that I saw the other night was 'Lucky You' and thought it was a good flick, especially if you like poker. And even if you don't there's the whole story of the relationship with his father (Robert Duvall) and his girlfriend (Drew Barrymore).

Description:

Eric Bana (Troy) stars as a gifted young poker player working to beat his personal demons and win the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. In the process, he connects with a struggling musician (Drew Barrymore) and his obstinate father (Robert Duvall). A bevy of real-life poker aces, including Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Marsha Waggoner and Jennifer Harman, co-star in this drama from Academy Award-winning director Curtis Hanson.

On a side note: I just saw Hotel Rwanda for the first time last week. I know, I'm all kinds of behind :) It was a very good flick.

Madison is a good flick. Kind of a sports movie, it's about hydroplane racing in the 70's. Jim Caviezel, Bruce Dern and Mary McCormack. Feel good story, blah blah blah.

Based on a true story, this action-packed drama follows hydroplane boat racer Jim McCormick (Jim Caviezel) as he prepares for the 1971 Gold Cup championship. When his depressed river town of Madison, Ind., is chosen to host the championship, Jim revamps his decommissioned racer with help from his pal (Brent Briscoe) and a retired mechanic (Bruce Dern). Will the race restore Madison's long-lost glory? Jake Lloyd and Mary McCormac co-star.

I also liked The World's Fastest Indian, starring Anthony Hopkins as Bert Munro.

Based on a true story, this drama follows 67-year-old grandfather and New Zealander Burt Munro (Anthony Hopkins) as he flies across Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats and blazes into the record books at 183.586 mph on his customized Indian Scout motorcycle. Set in 1967, this film is the second pairing for Hopkins and writer-director Roger Donaldson (Cocktail, Thirteen Days), who also worked together on The Bounty (1984).

I saw the first half of that movie late one night and fell asleep. I was enjoying it so I added it to my Netflix Q.

Cool. I added it to my Q. I'm not sure if I've seen that one or not.

I've got about 50 things in my Q so if the writers go on strike I'll be able to get through a bunch of them :)
