Jimmy went on there knowing he was going to blow up Theisman and possibly get "banned"..it gives Kimmel some legitamacy..everyone knows "MNF" is not what it used to be....
On another note, is it me or is Kimmel's lady (Sarah Silverman) kinda really hot...I would like to do interesting things to her....

She was on the cover of Maxim a few months back. I get the feeling she tells Jimmy to call her a dirty little Jew in a Hitler outfit. She is so anti politically correct that I write it as a joke but it wouldnt surprise me if it happened.
Kimmel is what MNF needs . I dont have much of an opinion on the hosts now as i rarely bother to notice the announcers. It just isnt the staple it used to be. Hell, MLB doesnt even take Monday off anymore for the playoffs.

Jimmy Kimmel is my new hero.
Not because he ripped on Theismann - a guy for which I really don't care.
It's because he inadvertently made ESPN pay for one part of what makes their MNF coverage such a joke.
Memo to ESPN: We are watching the game because we are football fans. We don't care about Desperate Housewives, or what Christian Slater thinks about the game. (We also don't care about most of Tony Kornheiser's opinions, but I digress.)
YOU are bastardizing the game by shamelessly putting these people in the booth to promote ESPN-related properties. If they embarrass you in the process - well, duh! Did you expect a comedian that makes his living by poking fun at people to NOT poke fun at people?

I mean, I'm sure ESPN deserves a lot of the hate they get, but in this case, chances are they don't have a choice. Do you think ESPN cares what the ratings for Desperate Housewives are? Probably not. But I'm sure ABC does.
I'm pretty sure this comes from the top of ABC down.
