View Full Version : Standings After This Weekend...

It's always possible for KC to lay an egg against a decent Raiders defense (all of the AFC West QBs playing this weekend are going to get pummeled), but I'll go way out on a limb and predict the standings after this weekend...

Kansas City Chiefs -- 4-3
San Diego Chargers -- 3-3
Denver Broncos -- 2-4
Oakland Raiders -- 2-4

Oh yah, KC is pulling away...:~ohyah!:

We will probably lose, but I think the Raiders are going to beat the Chiefs. Where's the game anyway?

Good God. The Broncos will not lose against the Steelers this weekend. I'm tired of this bashing of the Broncos , that is one game out of the divison lead. Show some Love.

Hey, we all (Broncos fans) want the team to win. Hell, it'd be awesome... but you can't be very optimistic right now with the way the team has been "playing".

That said, let's hope they come out on fire and kick the Steelers' butt in every aspect of the game. :yayaya:

ESPN's power ranking have us at 21 and their comment was," They might not win another game until December" Not very good.

ESPN said that? That means we're going undefeated the rest of the way. !Booya!

You sound mighty confident. We didn't even show up last game so why do you have the Broncos winning "for sure" this weekend against a decent Steelers team? That right there is blind trust. The Broncos are 1 play and a timeout from being 0-5. If they lose this weekend, 7 or 8 wins might be realistic.

You realize this is team one game out of the division lead that plays in perhaps the worst division in football right now, yes?

There will be no wild card coming from the west this year. So if we do manage to win the division at 8-8 or 9-7, what are the chances we win even one playoff game? I'll give you a hint. Not very good.

Bingo there ZONA, one play and a timeout is all that stands between 2-3 and 0-5. Imagine if they were 0-5 right now? What would be happening on the mane? Talk about a meltdown. Then again, I suspect we'll see exactly that shortly after the steeler contest to be honest...dman

Could be worse, we could be Duh Bear fans and have the 27th ranked Defense AND BRIAN GRIESE as our QB.

So we should not carry our enthusiasm out for the team. Should fans just walk into the stadium expecting to lose? Why show up for that matter? All of this Debby Downer stuff is getting depressing and old. I'll choose to hold my reservations for this team until after the game is over. If they suck it up and lay down this week, then hey, I'll join in the team bashing session. But for now, if its alright with you, I'm going into this game to cheer for a win.

GO BRONCOS!!!!!

Griese has 3 more touchdowns (7) than Cutler (4) with fewer games under his belt. Right now, I would take him for his veteran leadership. We probably went TOO young on offense, contributing to our inability to score. Next year and the year after that, we'll probably see some major returns on our youth movement...including a better Jay Cutler. That won't help us now, though...

Quoted for truth, how the mighty have fallen from this once proud, tough division.

The Rai-duh-ers seem to be the only team that improved.

not too hard to do when you were the absolute laughing stock worst team of the nfl last season.

just because they've "improved" doesn't make them any good.

Wouldn't matter if KC won the AFC West or a WC, they aren't going anywhere.

The sarcasm in my original post evidently didn't come through. I agree with this completely -- The Chiefs can't beat good defenses, the Broncos have for some inexplicable reason become a terrible defense, the Raiders are dysfunctional on offense, and the Chargers have Norm.

That said, I stand by my original prediction for this weekend, but at the end of the day it means nothing.

So by Roy's reconning we have 10 more games to win 3-4! Plus we are facing the easier part of the schedule. After this game I am leaning toward 9-7 but think 8-8 is still possible.
