Post yours...here is mine:
1. Ohio State- Might not be flashy, but the most solid and consistent club
2. Oklahoma- Two very important wins vs. Texas and Mizzou
3. Louisiana State- Despite loss, an elite team, D starting to look shaky tho
4. Oregon- Really on fire lately, inches from being undefeated, some injuries suffered this week though might derail them if serious
5. Boston College- Some up and down performances lately, still pretty good
6. South Carolina- SOS doing an outstanding job in Columbia, Smelley solid.
7. Florida- Very good team despite two losses, could easily be undefeated
8. South Florida- Still unproven despite record, play someone of real worth besides WVU
9. California- Huge letdown, I thought they were alot better than that
10. Kentucky- Big time win over LSU
11. West Virginia- Not as good as preseason hype, but still pretty good
12. Missouri- Despite loss to OU, still a real good team
13. Virginia Tech-Looking alot better than they were in September, a couple more wins and Garcia will be in full homer mode. :)
t14. Arizona State- Erickson doing great job with Carpenter, Torain
t14. USC- Three straight weak performances are very troubling.
15. Texas Tech- No slowing the Air Raid Offense
16. Auburn- Tuberville can really get his team prepared for road games
17. Cincinnati-Tough setback this week, still a team to fear
18. Texas- Got back on track this week. As usual, they underachieve tho.
19. Hawaii- Survived scare this week, offense still looks very powerful
20. Kansas- Fighting Manginos a huge surprise this season.
21. Georgia- As usual, Richt has put together a solid but not special club
22. Kansas State- Prince rebounds with big win vs. CU after KU loss
23. Tennessee- Fat Phil with a huge win last week vs. UGA, solid effort again
24. Illinois- Despite loss to Iowa, Zook's recruiting efforts bearing fruit
25. Virginia- Shameless attempt at getting rep from Anubis...just kidding, very solid this year after initial loss to Wyoming, undefeated in ACC play, leading Coastal Division
Also recieving votes: Penn State, Michigan, Louisville, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Boise State, Clemson, Alabama, Maryland

When the BCS polls come out the Bucks won't be #1 or #2, their SOS is not good enough and with the other teams in the conf not ranked high it's gonna be a uphill climb for them, I honestly don't think their Offense is a BCS Champion quality, Rose Bowl maybe, but they will more than likely be ranked #1 in the other polls, and I'm not gonna argue with it.

I wouldn't say OU falls after solidly winning their game against a good opponent.

Sorry,i'm from a small school. Give em' a chance.
1. OSU - Undefeated now, it won't stay that way. They could potentially lose to PSU, Illinois, and Michigan this year.
2. BC - Sorry, they've done all that they've needed to do up until this date. Despite what some think and a slow start, there are some good teams in the ACC... BC has beat a few of them.
3. South Florida - You get points from me if you beat WVA and then go to Auburn and win. They are playing as well as any team in the country right now. Auburn by the way has beat KState and Florida, both are very good teams.
4. OU - Big time win vs. Texas and Missouri in back to back weeks. Also have beaten Miami.
5. LSU - Huge loss against a good team. They still got a shot at a title though.
6. KU - They've manhandled most of their opponents. The only one they didn't was a state rival who is actually very good at KState. They still won that game.
7. ASU - Underated and sleep walking towards a pac 10 championship.
8. Kentucky - Lost to South Caroline but beat LSU. They have the best QB in the SEC.
9. South Carolina - Beat Kentucky but lost to LSU. I'm favoring the better QB.
10.West Virgina - They've done a lot in the past and thats why they are being repped here. Four landmines sit on the schedule though, Cincy, Louisville, Rutgers and UConn. They need to assert control over the rest of their opposition to be taken seriously again.
11.Florida - Dangerous team who is lurking in the shadows.
12.Oregon - Offensively and defensively a better team than USC or Cal in my opinion.
13.Cal - Losing Longshore hurt them last night. The defense is too weak to play against the nations elite.
14.USC - They lost to Stanford. They almost lost to another bottom dweller against Arizona at home. Oregon, ASU and Cal are all going to be tough games for USC.
15.VaTech - Slowly plodding along. The next five games might exploit this team after they've bounced back from playing LSU in the first week of the season. BC, GTech, FSU, Miami, and Virginia all remain on the schedule.
16.Missouri - Had a chance to prove themselves and they couldn't do it. Still second-tier in the country and in the big 12.
17.Auburn - Bouncing back after some early losses to good teams.
18.KState - Dangerous team.
19.Michigan - Starting to make a move back into the rankings.
20.Texas Tech - Aside from choking late against Okie State, this team has been strong. The future schedule is tough though against CU, Texas, OU, and Mizzou.
21. Penn State - Only team left on the schedule is OSU at home. They could run the table.
22. Boise State - They'll kick Hawaii's ass.
23. Hawaii - Not as good as everybody thinks...
24. Virginia - Coming on strong after dropping a pedestrian effort vs. Wyoming. Still, their victories are a little too close for comfort. Maryland, Wake, Miami and VTech still dot a schedule full of pot holes.
25. Wakeforest - Started slow and now starting to roll. Schedule looks easy despite two visits toward inconsistent teams in Clemson and Virginia.

Just a question, but Oregon loses to a team that, at the time was ranked higher and is now ranked 7th, Oklahoma land LSU lose to unranked teams and are ranked higher at 4th and 5th. Would that be because OR lost at home and OK and LSU on the road?
And no, I'm not trying to stir up crap with Sooner fans, I'm just am looking for some insight!

Both polls are totally subjective, STG. The AP Poll is made by journalists and reporters, the USA Today Poll by the coaches ... the coaches poll is more or less worthless. another thing is that oregon doesn´t have many "good" wins, whereas oklahoma has back to back wins against ranked teams in texas and mizzery.

Oregon's strength of schedule probably isn't too high right now because of Michigan's loss to App State at the start of the season.

thanks for the answers guys. Yeah, we haven't played many difficult teams outside of Cal thus far. We play USC in two weeks and also ASU, soon. But, right now it's restricted to Pac 10.
I also found it interesting that the polls don't appear to take into consideration circumstances that may surround a loss. For instance, Cal's loss was possibly mostly due to a red shirt freshman QB in place of their more seasoned QB out for a few games.

Why don't you believe that your team deserves it? 6-1 is pretty impressive and the Wahoos are the only other undefeated team in conference besides BC at 3-0. I know our conference isnt exactly that hot, but most of the teams are beating up on each other and it is hard to consistently win games in this conference because most of the teams are competitive (even Duke is pretty competitive now). IMO, it is even more impressive for Al Groh given the fact that he probably has less talent than the majority of the conference. Even though you guys are winning some close games, you still deserve to be around 25 or so, IMO.

1 Ohio State - I only put them here because they are undefeated in the Big Ten, which isnt saying a whole lot this year...#1 by proxy.
2 Oklahoma - High powered O, Big play D, Frosh QB Bradford is #1 in the country
3 Kentucky - Gritty, tough team. Woodson doesnt live up to the hype. The aggressive blitzing D is fun to watch.
4 LSU - I fully expect LSU to end the season in the top 2.
5 S Carolina - another gritty, tough SEC team. Can play with you in all phases.

I just havent been real happy with the Qb play. Granted, he is only in his second year but its really been the defense that has kept us in these games. We got Maryland this week and if we can pull off the win there than i would feel a little better about the ranking. I might actually be going to this game which would be cool so im hoping all goes well. :approve:

I hear you on Kansas way up there llama, in spirit, but even though they're 6-0, Kansas has played only ONE road game this year - at Kansas State.
I think the Big XII North is a study in coach-driven parity this year. They don't have the horses that the South has, but theor coaching seems to be lifting them above that. Any of these teams could beat any other - especially at home (with the exception of ISU). We'll see if my thesis here holds this weekend - CU over Kansas, Nebraska over Texas A&M, Missouri over Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State over KSU ... all four home teams will win this week. If I were in Vegas, I'd parlay three of them.
