I ended up with a tie between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama
as first choice and Chris Dodd as the third choice.
Oddly enough, of the Republicans, Rudy Giuliani
came in as the top choice, followed by Ron Paul.
But still no Republican came in ahead of any Democrat.
Fred Thompson came in dead last. The only thing
I agreed with him on was the death penalty,
and even Hillary and Obama are pro death penalty,
so even there Thompson has no advantage.

Mine came out Kucinich and Ron Paul. But actually, Ron Paul would be higher because they have his position on immigration wrong. I agree with Ron Paul on closing the borders, ending all entitlements to illegals, no amnesty and closing down citizenship as a birthright to children of illegals and they have it that I disagree with him. They've got it wrong. I'm totally opposed to Kucinich's pro-amnesty position on immigration, so that would tilt me more toward the Ron Paul side and given that immigration is one of the issues I feel most strongly about, it gives it even more weight. So, mine would come out Ron Paul at 31 and Kucinich at 27. My dead last was Romney.
The way I'm weighting my issues this election is, about 80% is based on what a candidate says about Iraq and 20% is everything else. I disagree with Paul on some issues (taxes is the biggest one) but his emphasis on restoring the power of the Constitution pushes him over the top for me. The rest of the candidates don't even see that as an issue to discuss, from what I've seen so far.

here is the problem , we take one side or the other , we completely shun the other side , myself included , someone on the right could have a good idea , or a base of a good idea ,that can be expanded on or taken away from , but because they are on the right , they are goose stepping nazis .......
now someone on the left same thing , good idea , but the right attacks ,and hikes up their skirts and scream Socialism , and chances are they dont know the first thing about the plan , but like those on the left , they shun it cause it isnt their side that came up with it ..... Both sides have got so wrapped up in making the other party vile people , that legislation that matters the most to us the people gets put aside ..........with all of that said , **** you assholes on the right .............good day

That's the interesting thing about these little Q&As. You realize that when it comes down to how you really feel about issues, even the people you agree with the most, you disagree with totally on some issues. You have to pick like five or six issues and say, "These are the top priority for me," and then see who's with you on those five or six.

I agree with every one of McCain's issues except Iraq and Energy and had a score of 49.
My top 5 were McCain, Hunter, Thompson, Tancredo and Brownback. Biden was tied with Guliani at 30 and Ron Paul was the Republican I LEAST agree with. All the Democrats besides Biden ranked lower than Paul, with Mike Gravel and Kucinich in last place with 8.

Decentralizing Iraq isn't our choice
"I favor stiff fines for employers who hire illegal immigrants, a security fence along the border, and a denial of citizenship to children born here of parents who are in the U.S. illegally. I oppose any form of amnesty.
I favor a guest worker program, while tightening border security."
I favor both ones above
I don't believe the Federal Government should fund stem-cell research, but I am not against the research itself.
I don't favor bio-fuels I think it's a bad source of implementation, but I favor alternative energy sources like hydrogen and electricity.

I'm still trying to figure out how I got Kucinich and Paul in a virtual tie. It seems counter-intuitive.

Well, depending on who she's talking to, Billary has probably been strong on it before.
And I think Thompson might be pretty strong, but I don't think he has a shot.
