I think all they naysayers that said we should be 0-2 had a point. The sad thing is that we should be 0-5.
I just hope if we are going to stink this bad that we don't go and pull what we usually do in sub par years and finish 8-8 middle of the pack. If we are going to **** the bed, then let's **** it nicely and go for a high draft pick. God knows we need it.
Oh yeah and note to Mike Shanahan, safeties are a priority in this league.

I'm a Broncos fan born and bred. I've a permanent seat on the bandwagon and nothing can knock me off.
But I've got to say, I haven't felt this bad about our team since the early 90s.

I will never get off the bandwagon, but my optimism just hurdled out the window, and came to a loud messy splatter 40 stories down onto a large bed of nails. Unless we find a way to clone Champs DNA and embedd it into all of our defensive players during the bye week, that won't change for a while.

Its fair to say I don't see any hope for this season. We stink so bad it isn't a cse of a team just not gelling any more its a case for a team that just isn't very good.
I don't know what the answer is. Clearly the schedule is against us making any kind of comeback. We have two home games against teams with 4-0 and 4-1 records and then we're off on the road. I won't actually be surprised if we are bottom of the division.
I mean we're only 2-3, which isn't disastrous, but all of the performances have ben pretty bad.
...and where the hell are all these turnovers coming from. You can see the difference between Plummer and Cutler and yet the end result is the same...
But we have to keep our eyes on the future. We still have a team with a bunch of potential, and a high draft pick or two will help to cement that potential, as well as the experience the young guys will get this year.
I won't rule out a comeback, but I'm thinking that 8-8 may be the best we can expect this year.

Yeah, we suck.....we are a strategic time-out from being 0-3 AT HOME !! And another 3 seconds of gametime from being 0-5 overall.
We are a BAD team.....no fire, no execution, no special teams, **** defense, and yes, **** COACHING....
We are bad in just about EVERY aspect of the game right now.....and THAT is what's depressing....not ONE thing to fix, but many....

We play the Chiefs 2 times, the Raiders once and the Bears once. We also play against the Lions. Maybe they don't screw those games up and they get lucky against Houston or Minnesota. Maybe they will lose everything and get a chance at Glen Dorsey though too. . .

Heck yeah, mediocrity gets you more mediocrity. If we can't be good, might as well bottom out and get some real talent, God knows we have very little of that right now.

Couldn't agree more. If I were in charge, I would put Javon, Lynch, Ferguson, Champ, Lepsis, and Nalen on IR. Give the kids some experience, get a top 5 draft pick, and come out next year with a last place schedule.
Like you said, if we're gonna shlt the bed, lets do it right.

Another thing...for those of you who will come back and say "FU...you arent a Broncos fan, FU...how can you hope that this team tanks it? FU!!!"
I bet that Gruden wishes he wouldve tanked a game or 2 more last year so he could have Calvin Johnson on his team this year.

I wish, however I am still optimistic we will pull our heads out. Besides, I would rather stink it up in the beginning and go out on a high note. And for those of you calling for a high draft pick STFU it's only the 5th game of the GD season. Stop willing us to loose.... well loose any more then we are

WELL THEN WTF IS THE ANSWER???????????
WE NEED A ****ING DT AND A MIDDLE LINEBACKER AND WE CAN'T GET 1 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
We ****ed up trading Warren, Wilson is killing us, we haven't stopped anyone all year, I am so ****ing sick of 8-8 or 9-7, missing the ****ing playoffs, and staying mediocre.
This team lacks talent and we need to go get some next year damnit!
If we miss the playoffs, and we aren't picking in the top 10 next year, this season will be just another ****ing disaster.
So excuse me for wanting this team to have a ****ing future, as soon as maybe next year, instead of wallowing in this shlt, mortgaging picks to trade up to get Jarvis ****ing Moss, and hoping he is half decent, cuz we were too ****ing good to have the ammo to get Patrick Willis.

This team has a ****ing future. Yes we need a DT and our LB are playing like ****. The draft can get us back to where we need to go but ****ting on this season after 5 games is a load of crap. For **** sake keep your composure. As far a Willis goes even if we were in the position to draft him last year we wouldn't have. Our LB's didn't go to **** until after the draft remember.

This season is over!
Are you even watching the games? Allowed 200+ yards rushing in 3 of the 1st 5, and allowed a 100 yard rusher every single game. Sorry bro, but you cannot quick fix that shlt in 2 weeks. But you know, in "true Bronco fans" mind it would be better to go 8-8 and end on a "high note" than to be able to pick in the 1st hour next April.

Broncos will finish at best 8-8. The schedule is relatively tough.
We need to revamp the front 7. I like Dumervil and I think Moss could turn into something special, but other than that, I haven't seen anything from the DL. The LB's played a lot better IMO than they have in the first 4 games, but I wouldn't mind seeing if we could replace every single position.
Safeties are dreadful also. Ferguson should get cut just as much as Gold.
I wouldn't mind seeing a DT/S/LB in round 1 next year, and S/LB in round 2.
Still try to sign Alan Faneca and Albert Haynesworth and look at Lance Briggs.

Guys I'm just curious as to where the Dline is. I mean Rice gets little to no playing time. What about M.Thomas, I thought he was supposed to be this stud in the making. Yeah I understand he's a rookie, but he can't be any worse than what we have right now.
I know I posted the original post out of frustration, but this one I'm posting cause I'm lost with this team.
The bye week couldn't have come at a better time. We sorely miss Walker's presence out there.
As for the team as a whole, I know we are known as this monsterous run team, but have you noticed we get the runs in chunks but when it comes to getting the 3rd and 1's, 3rd and 2's, we get stuffed. I'm perplexed about this. I really think it's time to swallow our pride and get a top end RB out of the draft and keep him locked up here. Salary cap is barely an issue any more with it going up again next year. Obviously, I'm assuming that Henry won't be back with this team if he's suspended for a year.
We are sorely in need of a DT, a MLB, a SLB and a couple of good safeties. Move DJ to WLB, he was a STUD there his rookie year. I would love to see if we could pry Vilma from the Jets. He's supposedly unhappy with his reduced role in the 3-4 and should be able to get him relatively cheap and he's the same age as DJ. Vilma is an absolute stud in a 4-3 scheme.
I don't know, I'm throwing a whole bunc of sh*t out of my a$$. Never thought I would be talking about next year after week 5. Very frustrated and heartbroken with the status of this team. Such high expectations coming into the year.
