That's because Thai peppers are not at your local grocery store like habaneros yes they are hotter but that's what i call too hot it kinda ruins the meal instead of adding to it.

I never had any "great" food in Cali. I had some good food out there, and one time I had some BBQ from these guys who were originally from Louisiana that was really good, but just short of great.

And the Mexican food out there in northern california is an embarrassment.

15 dollars for 5 "jumbo" shrimp which, in Texas we just call "shrimp", certainly a far cry from what we would call jumbo or prawns. I guess if I was a fan of tofu there would be some great meals out in California.

Conversely, I ate in New Mexico and they had some salsa down there that was the perfect blend of chunkiness, spicyness, and flavor. Wish I could remember the name of the place but it was in Taos.

That goes good with some crunchy peanut butter to make a spicy peanut dipping sauce for some asian lettuce wraps. Used to use it with another ingredient that slips my mind, that makes for a great "firecracker" shrimp dipping sauce.

They had a hot suace/pepper convention in Fort Worth (yes, Texas) a couple years agao and I was very dissapointed in it. Bunch of crappy home made hot sauces. Some hot sauces had a good kick, but the flavor was really crappy. A good hot sauce has flavor and is hot.

I think it was called Zest Fest maybe???

The 2nd is Spontaneous Combustion!

Add Your Opinion]

Your Review:: Not a huge sauce fan but put a drop, i mean a drop of this stuff and put it to my tounge, well that was it tears, gaging, almost sudden death (just Kidden) but if u are looking for some hot **** then this is it, should have known with a warning label on it. Happy scaucing - Spiro
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Your Review:: AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! LOVE IT!
Just had a fish taco with SC on it - a couple drops less than last time. Taste?! You're kidding, right? I like hot and this stuff is all the hotter it needs to be. Moderation allows you to taste it. Habanero - goooood.
Gimme a towel! - Chris P
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: Hot

Your Review:: I have decent tolerance for hot stuff and this sauce makes me go into - Joshua
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Your Review:: Well this sauce was a little zesty but it lacked any kick at all. Good as a sauce for dipping or as a wake up drink. - Teh M@str
Taste Opinion: Disappointing; Heat Opinion: Too Mild To Be Called Hot

Your Review:: My brother got this for me several years ago. I love to eat it on Doritos. It not only gets hotter with each bite, but if you keep it in the pantry (not in fridge) for a year it will get hotter!!!! I finally used up my first bottle and plan to buy more. TASTE: I don't like the so called pepper sauces that taste more like viniger than peppers (tobasco, texas pete, Louisana sauce), Spontaneous Combustion Hot Sauce actually tastes real good!!! - Chuck
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Your Review:: This sauce is the standard of hot sauce in terms of heat and consistency.
The flavor does leave something to be desired but it's not that bad.
What I like about this hot sauce is that it can be used on many dishes such as meats, wings, pizza, tacos, etc.
The heat does last for a long time and you do get a burning feeling under your tongue indicating that pure cap is in this product. I would say this product is defintely worth trying, if you don't care for it, then at least you know but you may like it and find out this is the last sauce you will buy. - Nick P. (Long Island
Taste Opinion: Good; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Your Review:: By far my favorite hot sauce. Can't find it in stores easily so was glad to find this website. Beware! It is hot but unlike many others it tastes good. - Mike
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

Your Review:: I've been using this brand for burritos and as an added kick to my buffalo wings. It's the best but a little does go a long way. Never had anything hotter. I'm salivating right now as I write this! - Kingston
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Your Review:: I love Hot Sauce and when I saw this I knew that I had to try it. It is now my favorite Hot Sauce. It goes great in anything, especially Ramen Noodle Soup. I now add this sauce to anything I eat. It starts out ok puts gets hotter as you eat more. Would recommend this to anyone. - Adam
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Medium

Spontaneous Combustion Hot Sauce: Thsi stuff is perfect. - Eric
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

Absolutely incredible. - Kish
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

OMG! This has got to be the hottest &#@! i have ever tried. And i know it is not the hottest out there.
I made some Tostado's for my co workers and added a little of this to them, needless to say no one ate a whole one. LMAO!

It has made a great gag for the last few years. - David Swope
Taste Opinion: Awful!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

To date I've not tried it on food. I just put a couple drops on the back of my hand and licked it off.
That said.... It is WONDERFUL. By far the tastiest hot sauce I've ever had. Yeah, it's hot, but it's not gonna make your skin crack and peel or anything.

I have a feeling this stuff's gonna be a staple in my kitchen for years to come.
- Dave Of The Mountain!
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

Here's my initial thoughts after trying this sauce for the first time:
Decent flavor - Good habanero flavor with a bit of the 'pepper extract' taste (which is to be expected) with . Does not have the overpowering vinegar taste of Tobasco.

Heat level - Slightly less as Dave's Gourmet 'Insanity' (but not by much.

Spontaneous Combustion is easier to apply just the right amount with the shaker top.

Overall, I think it's a worthy addition to my favorite Hot Sauces. - Generic

Subtle as a tornado. It has a flow attack, building up rather slowly, but then it kills you with the finish. Very good for wings and marinades to give that extra bang. - Dan
Taste Opinion: Good; Heat Opinion: Hot

about to order another bottle. good for the mixing-a-few-drops applications, like on sandwiches, burgers, chili. too hot for the dipping apps (like chicken). for that i use melindas xxxx. - jonny
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: Hot

This stuff is the best stuff ive ever had!!!!! It isnt quite as hot as i thought it would be though! - Laura
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: Hot

It's actually quite good by itself on things like pizza, tuna fish, and burritos. It's not super-duper hot, but it's got a kick for sure. - Cutjack
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: Hot

It made my girlfriend cry and it'll do until scotch-bonnet ice-cream comes out..... - Etra
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

this isnt just the weakest stuff i ever tryed (besides louisianna crap) but it also tastes auful!! just jokin THIS IS SO HOT IT STANDS UP TO ITS NAME AND IT TASTES GOOD, i accidently put 10 drops on a chicken burrito and my mouth burned for hours - ????
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Love it use it on all foods. could be a little hotter - PXMJR
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

For some reason, this sauce seems hotter to me than the 10 rating. When comparing it side-by-side with Blair's Possible Side Effects and Ass In Hell, it is the only one that got a whimper out of me (maybe it was the combined effect as this was the last of the three I tried). The flavor isn't bad, but it isn't the best. However, the heat level seems to be a 10+. I'm planning on taking it to my next gig and making bloody mary's with it :). - Chris
Taste Opinion: Good; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

This is the best hot sauce I have ever purchased or tasted. Mix it with Cholula and it will knock your socks off! - Lou
Taste Opinion: HEAVENLY!; Heat Opinion: Hot

My dad said it is damn hot.He put three drops on his beans and he was crying it was soooo hot. - Stacey B.
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: TOO HOT!

Will provide very intense heat levels, but it doesn't have a great taste. Unforunatly to get food hot enough, you must add a good amount of this sauce, thereby adding a lot of it's (mediocre) flavor to the dish. Not bad for the money, but I would rather try another sauce that tates better, such as Possible Side Effects. - Matt
Taste Opinion: Disappointing; Heat Opinion: Hot

pretty damn hot. good taste though. looking for ice cream. - doc
Taste Opinion: Quite good; Heat Opinion: Hot

It has lots of flavor, until you get used to the heat you can't tell though.

I had a friend that said it was weak the first time he tried it... I caught him hanging is tongue out in the drinking fountain about 2 minutes later. He said it wouldn't stop burning.

I kissed my wife after having that one time and licked her lip... she got a taste of it and she was on fire... that was probably 5 minutes after I ate it!
