We (K-State) completely exposed Texas' weaknesses. Texas' special teams is as "special" as Denver right now. It's awful for me to say it, but I see Oklahoma running away with this one...

Give me OU in this one. Unless they roll the chuckwagon before the game. That is always a bad omen.

Hmm how should I vote. My honest opinion is that we stink this year. Guys aren't stepping up and making plays and Mack Brown is sometimes too damn loyal to older players and keeps letting them play despite the fact that the talent behind them is better now (see the line backing crew). Saw Colt in my morning class he has some kinda wrap going on his elbow, and suffered a concussion so who knows if he is going to play. I hate our O-Corrdiantor because he plainly sucks at calling plays, unless it is a broken play it probably isn't a good one. But hey it's ou week, I am going to the game again and hoping for win. We have the talent but can the put it together is the question.

Do you realize how crazy good we should be on offense this year. I know our line is young, but we are Texas we should always have a good line. We have Colt McCoy, accurate arm, good enough strength and very smart. Limus Sweed, big and fast should be a 1st round pick in the draft. Billy Pittman, great wide receiver, fast and catches everything thrown his way. Quan Crosby - see billy pittman, Jermichael Finley, Big and fast tight end should be a mismatch against any line backer in the country, Jamal Charles great running back with unbelievable speed. Nate Jones, really has it together this year and is a very solid WR. They have weapons all over the field but yet can't seem to score more that 21 against k-state. Even if they kept extra guys in to help block for the o-line they should have plenty of options. It is so disappointing

shake, who are texas fans blaming for the offensive ineptness? I'm honestly curious, because as an outsider and for all the reasons you listed, it seems like you should be dominating. I have a friend who thinks Mack is trying to run the same offense he did with Vince with a different type of QB, and isn't adjusting to their current strengths. Are your coaches coming under any fire?

It always has been and remain a Greg Davis (O-Coordinator) issue. He is the same guy who wanted to keep running the Chris Sims system when VY took over. It took vince getting into a shouting match with them at half time of Oklahoma state where they were down big that they finally changed it around to suit him better (sophomore season) i.e. let vince play. Now he is trying to run the VY offense with Colt and it just isn't working. You will be hard pressed to find a Texas fan that thinks greg davis is worth a damn. But Mack is completely loyal to the guy. He is the same guy that in 4 years with Roy Williams would completely ignore the guy in the RRS(never caught a td pass in that game). When Vince was here, he could take a bad play call and make it great. If something wasn't there he would make something happen. Colt doesn't have that ability. We have these amazing fast athletes and we throw wr screens all day. It is so stupid, he rarely challenges the D. I think the fans are clamoring for a change, I would love to see major applewhite come back to Texas and start being groomed to be the head coach. But who knows if Mack will ever do it. There were rumors last year in the RRS Mack and Greg got into it again and Mack told him to open it up more in the second half. We came out and dominated by challenging the ou D.
I think Mack at this point is untouchable. He has brought in so much money to the athletics program. It is crazy. They had an article in the newspaper here on sunday I think our athletic department will spend 100 million this year(k-state spends 36 million). Something like 200,000 per scholarship athlete per year. The reason they have that much money to spend is because of Mack Brown.

You sure are defensive. What's a matter, talk too much **** last week and don't like having it thrown back in your face? The thread title was tongue in cheek, directly aimed at getting a rise out of the OU and UT fans....and it worked. Is OU gonna kick UT ass like they did CU's?

Pain, I think you and most other CU fans would agree that if you faced OU 10 times, OU would win 8 of them. The stars aligned for the Buffs, they played lights out, and won the game.
OU played horrible...if we bring our A game...it's a different story all together....
With that being said, the Bonghorns are nursing a QB with a concussion who may or may not play. Fire up the grill for another round of Bevo Burgers!

Uh, actually no, I would not say 8 out of ten. OU fans have been acting like CU played a perfect game and OU was complete trash on that day.
When is CU going to get credit for stifling the sooners? I'm sick of the "We played terrible" crap. The CU defense dominated OU. It's that simple. And it's not like the CU defense had everything suddenly come together and played great for the first time last Saturday. Opponents are completing less than 50% of their passes against CU on the season. The CU offense was simply okay, but they kept hammering away at the sooners and OU was gassed in the 4th. CU out worked OU and proved to be the better conditioned and stronger team in the second half.

I wouldn't expect any kind of respect. Haven't you learned ou only loses because of bad refereeing, poor play on their part, or trick plays( haha boise st.). They never get beat, they just beat themselves.

Meh, whatever. I know that CU is a good squad that is headed in the right direction. It seems that OU fans would want to acknowledge that they got good by a good team, rather than trying to minimize the loss by saying OU beat themselves, looked like crap, etc. There is no shame in losing to a good team fair and square.

Jesus christ, I make 1 semi joke thread and I'm labeled as a shiit talker?
I can't believe people took me so serious from that thread, and even changed the poll options.
I'm serious when I say I don't like the lack of respect I received from that, but that won't do anything. I know theres too many CU fans and people who will say "Its the internet, you don't get respect". Whatever.
Did I cry and moan about the loss? No. OU played like shiit, CU played well resulting in a CU win. I think all you CU homers were too freakin shocked that I actually stuck around and didn't complain about the refs.
And I do predict OU to win Saturday. Kansas State won by 20 in Austin, I think OU can beat them.

You beat us on a last second field goal, on your home field. If you win the north, and we win the south, then you'll see what I mean.
I made no bones about the fact that CU played lights out. OU had 46 total offensive plays. Hawkins wanted to control that ball, and that's what he did. OU was looking ahead, and being at Folsom ALWAYS give us fits. You can say altitude doesn't play a part, but I think we saw the OU team get completely gassed. Condidtioning is not a problem with this team...you can bank on that.

Ooooh I love the "It was the altitude" card. It sure affected them against a redshirt freshman QB. I didnt exactly see FSU gasping for air as they won in Boulder a few weeks ago.
At least most fans of OU will say it was bad coaching. To play the altitude card? It kinda reeks of desperation and reaching for excuses. But whatever gets you through the week. Good luck this week in the low altitude.

Sheesh, let me wipe the sarcasm of my computer screen. I don't see anyone proclaiming CU as the best team in the North or Big 12 at this point. Show me one person who has. Do I think the Buffs are a better squad than OU fans are are willing to acknowledge? Yes. I have no doubt that OU is a very talented team, but they got punched in the mouth (not just my words, the OU players and coaches said the same) and did not know how to react. Perhaps they want a mulligan?
Anyway, good luck this weekend to both UT and OU. I hope for no injuries and an OU win.

No worries, I'm sure you guys will do fine this week. But at least it was gratifying to know that a loss like that one last week took your program down just a bit off its high pedestal and its fans well off their high horse enough to know that the Big XII is a pretty fun conference where anybody can win. And that's all we Buffs fans need to make our week.

Without Vince Young...you guys have never done ****! You guys were lucky to beat a 6-6 Iowa team in your backyard last year...
That's alright, and typical from a Bonghorn fan...What sucks for you guys is that OU is a BIG win on ANYONE's schedule...It's nice to be back to a place where most teams hate you because you win...continually.
