I am tired of getting physically ill watching this uninspired lollygagging crew. All that money on that side of the ball and we are the worst defense in the league. Give me the old man back I don't care just fire that Miami retread!

I agree. There has to be someone better. Unfortunately, we will probably owe him millions if he gets fired so it won't happen.
By the way our special teams may be worse than the defense.

i really don't see how getting bates makes them better except now they can't tackle or stop the run along with getting torched with the pass

I dont see how youre blaming bates for the complete inability to win the line of scrimmage. He's not the one blowing tackles, getting blown off the line and missing gaps

Yup you're quite right there albeit he is the one along with Shanahan who signs then plays these turds. Buck stops with the coaches and right now they're looking pretty crap.

But...
1. We have cut a D-line starter because he didn't get it.
2. We spent the top half of the draft getting guys that would / should work in the system.
3. We are suppose to be hitting the gaps that Bates is telling them to hit.
I am sorry, but to go from a decent D last year to this swapping out the two areas Bates focused on (D-line and LB's) is just ridiculous. I am willing to see a few more games as we are still in the division, but if there is no turn around by mid-season, pull the plug.

...On your TV? Because if you meant something else and want us to fire our defensive coordinator midseason while expecting results afterwards, you're in for a long year.

God I would love to see what Coyer would have done with a healthy Warren, Dre Bly, Moss, Rice, Adams and Crowder.
What the hell has a Bates' team ever won (seriously, I'm asking)?
I was at the game and the front seven eats sh!t with smiles on thier faces.
No emotional at all. Also, has Bates given up on his own scheme. That gimmick D they started with was good for one series. Also, the d-linemen were (trying) to shoot gaps constantly instead of the stand'em BS they've been playing. And WTF is up with benching Adams and Gordon? Did we really need Martinez and Hall to suit up? Screw Bates and his has-been ass. I'm tired of the excuses and lack of emotion.

Wow, how embarassing, the whole team should be ashamed, even Lynch and Walker for sitting this one out.......

IT's looking like it's going to be a rough year. Our O is pretty poor as well, just can't finish.

So that would make it...
Greg Robinson
Ray Rhodes
Larry Coyer
and now Bates?!
Is there a pattern here? Sooner or later you gotta quit blaming the coach. The talent on D is pretty low right now. Bates could probably do more in terms of schemes and blitzing to slow the bleeding (as Coyer was forced to do), but he'll never stop it. There isn't enough talent.
At least Coyer had a real middle linebacker.

This is unhealthy if they get so worked up over a loss. Hell some posters get worked up over a friggin win.
