We've got nothing to lose. With our defense still learning a new system and a key player a new position, we may lose the game but still have reason for optimism. The season is young, the defensive system is young, the QB is young, etc... The second half of this season is when we'll hopefully put it all together.

Additionally, we could win this game. Our team has too many variables right now for Indi fans to bet the family farm.

I think we will have our most complete game yet ... the problem is that we will need it to be to win this game. How do folks like their RB? I have to admit not seeing much of him -- is his style like Gores, (and other power backs) that have been a problem for us?

His style is a la Shaun Alexander 2006. Offensive Line and QB threat open gigantic holes that a 1 armed no legged man could run through with success.

We've played 3 crappy teams so far (...Jags may be considered mediocre). I'm just hoping that this weekend, for the first really good team we've faced this year, we will actually play to the level we're capable of, instead of playing down to the other team's level. We are not as bad as the first 3 weeks have looked...we just play down for some reason!

Why would that opinion be Colt-fan-specific? Manning has never torched Champ...he always destroyed our lesser CB's. I guess you could hold that opinion to fans in general, but not Colts fans.

Anyone ever listen to Keyshaun Johnson on espn radio. That guy is an idiot, talking about Griese having been successful in the playoffs will help the Bears win. Not sure if I'm slipping, but wasn't he hurt the one time we went to the playoffs while he was the QB. 2001 against the Ravens and Ferotte played that game. Then Parcells chimed in and said "yeah, and he will add mobility to the Bears QB position". You have got to be kidding. Greise is as mobile as that one midget that kept falling down on that Jerry Springer clip from that thread the other day.

off topic but his thread needed hijacked

ESPN doesn't hire people that know what they're talking about. They hire people that sound like they know what they're talking about. As long as you talk and talk, and your words seem to make sense (ignoring who specifically you're talking about), then you're good enough for ESPN!

I have a sneaky good feeling about this game.

Why shouldn't you. The Colts unlike the Jags power running style prefer the to run a stretch zone style this actually plays into this defense strength with are DEs ability to get up the field. The key will ensuring the Denver LB don't overcommit and leave the back side up for the cut back run.

Our corners should be able to cover the WRs, and keep the big plays down and make Manning be patience and dink and dunk the play down the field. Bates isn't going to play as passively as Coyer did last year.

While on offense the Indy cover 2 means that Marshall and Walker will have the ability to get deep and force the safeties out of the box, leaving Henry and the offense line the ability to control the game clock and punish the small defense line the Colts have.

Finally Shanahan has the game tape from last week from Houston and now has some idea how the Colts will play against an offense very similar to Denver's

Nope pretty weak stuff. I think an Indian pony is what he likes on top. Colt fans suck when I went up to the game (in indy) I think it was 4 years ago when we beat you there in reg. season with griffin as the rb. You had such loyal fans a guy behind me had on a L.A. Colts shirt and I was the loudest one in the area. Sure I almost got killed but you are all band wagon hoppers if you still sucked you wouldnt have the balls to show up anywhere with anything colt related. Try to stick with a team for over 20 years and stand by your team through it all. Im sure you are going to bouce back with a lie but 8 years ago you probably wouldnt even watch em on tv. Go back to your cave weak troll.
