I mean, Christ.....the guy is a natural speedy edge rusher.....and now we don't even use him predominantly on 3rd down passing situations. We have Dumervil and Rice in there.

Terry Pierce comes to mind when thinking of other guys careers that we've wasted.

Moss's strength is his pass rushing......it's frustrating.

We need him to be an every down player. Pass rushing specialist is not good enough for a 1st round pick. Who do we take out on passing situations? Dumervil? Rice? We need to figure some things out. We are top heavy will DE, and our DT are getting beat. I think Thomas should start at DT.

Right now its a rotation. They also used him less because of his weakness against the run. I chuckle as I type that as our whole teams weakness is the run. They aren't ruining him they are grooming him.

Moss needs to develop as a run stopper and as of right now Rice and Dumervil are superior pass rushers.

Its not ruining Moss, we're making him develop the all around game we need out of him while he refines his pass rush behind two skilled technicians in Dumervil and Rice. Rice is only on a one year deal, Moss will be an every down starter next year.

What we are doing on the DL though is ruining our chances to win long term by keeping Gordon out there. Burton is at least a little bigger and stronger, but what we should really do is start Thomas. Let him learn on the field now so that he's ready to contribute next year. He might be very inconsistent but I'd take sometimes really bad and sometimes really good over the constantly below average play Gordon has been giving us.

Terry Pierce... ya he's tearing it up on which team?

Last time I check'd Dummerville was leading the team in sacks and S.Rice is a pro bowl pass rushing DE...

The kid had his moments last week vs the Raiders. He's still learning this game.

Don't let a donut game get you in a panic. Raiders last week -Colts next week. Team didn't seem into the Jag's game.

That was my point.....we drafted Terry Pierce in the 2nd round of the 2003 draft. He was a natural middle LB, but we already had Al Wilson. At least, that was my take....

Pierce was drafted as a insurance policy for A-Dubb.

Wilson was goinig into a contact season and Shanny wanted to cover his ass incase wilson didn't resign with the team.

Pierce was decent college LB, but not an NFL player.

Rice sure as hell don't look like a pro bowl pass rushing DE. Moss has been better. Both pass rushing and against the run.

whew ....... for a second there I was expecting to read we were making him cross dress or something ....... then the old question is throw him to the lions and learn on the go or develop him and play him in spots ........
