This guy is a little bit of an underachiever but he is huge at 6'5" 336 lbs, and I think the Chiefs just expected, and asked too much from him. I think he would be a great run stuffing DT. I mean come on he is better than Amon Gordan.
ASSETS: A great run stopper. Has great size and strength, anchors well, and has a run-stuffer's mentality. Anchors and maintains his position. Has some quickness and can be effective on a bull rush. A battler who likes to mix it up.

After the Jimmy Kennedy blunder, I don't want another underachieving, overweight former bonus baby from the state of Missouri.

We don't need him to do anything but hold the line, which he can do. He isn't overweight either he is 6'5".
He has to be as good as Gordan. that guy got owned all day today and he is a starter.

I sure did see a play at the goaline where Gordon got blocked by the OG a yard back, turned him around and pancaked his ass to the ground as Jones ran by for a TD. Good job Gordon!

Now you're talking my language ... he's worth a look, no doubt about it.

The thing is, I don't recall Siavii seeing the field much during his stay in KC. I don't think he's actually played a NFL game in two years.
At this point, I am open for bringing anybody in, but he's a 10-15 play guy at best even if he did work out.

You know what, **** bringing in new guys! How about the underachieveing POS's actually play like they give a crap! They have had plenty of physical talent on this DL, I am just fed up with the mental midgets they continue to pluck and try and "develop". Just let Thomas get some freaking reps and draft another hoss in the upcoming draft.

I like Junior, but he seriously got his stock inflated coming out of college playing next to Haloti Ngata and Igor Olshansky his entire career at Oregon. I honestly don't think he would be that great of a pick up.

Good point. Big Daddy is out there, Jimmy Kenedy, Lionel Dalton.... anyone else? I'm not looking for a starter.Just a first down guy that can play next to Adams and clog the middle.

Send a 2nd-rounder to the Panthers for Kris Jenkins ... if it's not too late. He's been starting, which makes me think he might've mended fences there.
A lost opportunity of mammoth proportion. Is there anybody who STILL thinks we would draft - in the 2nd round next year - a DT who would go to 4 Pro Bowls in his first 6 years? Footsteps? Anybody still think that?!?!

I was maybe hoping we could keep our picks next year so maybe we could be able to move up and take the best LB in the draft.

I understand what you and SoCal are saying ... but remember - Bates uses DTs very differently. Saivii is not a penetrator, pursuer or sack artist ... but he's a run-stuffing oak (if you read the site - Atlas posted the quote) ... and, isn't a run-stuffing oak what Bates wants? Isn't that why Gerard Warren is gone, and a mediocre journeyman like Amon Gordon starting? And a rusty rookie like Marcus Thomas logging 30 snaps a game?
Obviously Saivii has issues ... but perhaps his issues are frustration with trying to penetrate and pursue? Don't most defenses ask DTs to be John Randle or Warren Sapp, right? Well, Saivii is NOT that, and we don't want that ... give him a tryout.

I hope this doesn't put you over the edge BB, but i think Jenkins had two sacks today, if i recall correctly :S

See, differences in style and technique is one thing.
We are talking about a player who doesn't play hard. No effort. It isn't like the guy showed flashes either...he just sucked.

He spent most of his time roughing up and being roughed up by Wisconsin law enforcement officials.

Really? Well, Super-Lurker, I appreciate the info ... and no, I'm ALREADY OVER THE EDGE with these DTs! :moody:
I should start a Kris Jenkins "I told you so" thread ... I've been wrong so often, why not rub the 'right' in afew people's eyes? :~ohyah!:

Khan is prolly right ... but Amon Gordon is a street FA talent. We should give SOMEBODY else a chance ...
Hey, PR Super Lurker ... 88 posts in 1,246 days ...??? Please post your Kris Jenkins data more often

You've already traded your 3rd and maybe another pick from next years draft for the 4 players you got from this years draft. Not exactly sure of the draft picks you have left. If it took you nine picks to get 4 guys this year, I dont see where you can afford to keep trading away picks.

Siavii is a lazy douche who was horrible with the Chiefs. No thanks.
He's been out of football for two years, actually 4 if you count the wasted years on the Squaw's. He's on probation for beating up a guy in Minneapolis during training camp. To top it off, Bob was his fanboy.
Better idea - lets all go down and stake out all of the Denny's resturants and find some 400 pound slob. Anything would be better than Siavii
