View Full Version : Shanahan sure proved me wrong in the second half this week.

Oh boy.

Step 1: Blow all three timeouts halfway through the third quarter

Step 2: Run a QB sneak on fourth and two (even though Marcus Stroud has been lining up over Nalen all day) instead of taking the three points.

Step 3: Go for it on fourth down backed up against your own endzone with four and a half minutes left.

Step 4: ??????????

Step 5: PROFIT

Even if you want to claim Shanahan was forced to go for it on that fourth down, he was only forced to go for it because he's an idiot and wasted all his timeouts and didn't kick the field goal earlier.

Being the cockmunch you are I made a bet with my wife on the over/under you would be in here before 10 pm local time. Like a true cockmunch, you just lost me money. I thought for sure you would be off somewhere cracking open a bottle of champagne because Denver lost and now you had a good reason to complain some more about Shanahan.

Get the **** out of here you lower than Raider fan scumbag.

Man alive, after 11 straight losses, there are no Raiders huns to be found anywhere. They are all hiding in the dens and burrows. Then the win 1 game in their last 12 and they start coming out like it's gay week in San Francisco.

Mike knew he would not get the ball back in the late 4th the way the defense was playing so he did what he had to, go for it. At least he has balls, which is what I can say Raider fans don't have. They go in hiding after all the losses and show up in legions when they get 1 win. That is a true sign of a weak following.

I'm not a Raiders fan.

Shanahan shouldn't have used all his timeouts, or taken the points so he would have had the ability to punt the ball.

This thread is so racy and controversial. It just gives me the tingles.

I really don't fault Shanahan for anything today besides the 4th and 1 QB sneak. His hands were tied besides that. Forced to watch our D sit on the field ALL day.

I had an awesome burrito at the stadium today. The nachos weren't bad either. The chips were a little stale.

while I absolutely do not share your view on Shanahan in general, I was not very impressed with sequence of events in the 3rd quarter...Shanny has done better than leave us with 0 time outs with a whole quarter to play...

once that bed was made, I thought he made the right calls in the 4th

That was a bit of a gamble on the fourth down play, but the play he called should have worked. The play itself was a good playcall. Cutler made a very nice throw to Graham who had some space on his guy, got his hands on the ball and just dropped it while he was going down.

That was a ballsy call. Graham catches that perfectly thrown pass, and we win. Does anyone doubt that? Good call by Shanny.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

That said, you only have an argument on the first two and a half. The second two and a half show you to be the dumbass we've all come to know.

I should know better than to bump one of your threads, but you do know the Broncos electronic communication system was giving them hell in the second half and they couldn't communicate too well.

Too bad I'm right vastly more than the people here.

How many playoff wins do the Broncos have since Elway retired?

You have no concept of irony do you?

There were a lot of Rockies fans who thought he was awesome after he had two good months in MLB. So I made that name to make fun of them.
