View Full Version : How much did we pay for Dan Graham?

Nice FA flop so far. 4 catches for 30 yards on the season. Did a nice job helping out the run blocking today. That was a great drop on the 4th down play late in the game. Clutch play Graham. Maybe he had his checkbook in his hand while trying to hang on to the ball.

The D sux bad but Graham needs to be called out as well.

two failed fourth down plays in the second half, not good

There was a lot of blame to go around, not just the drop by Graham, though it was what killed all hope that was left. People not fumbling the ball would be nice. Maybe being able to pick up short yardage plays as well. Defense is something obvious that will be pointed at as well.

Forget about the dropped 4th down play for a minute. I was against the signing yet people here conviced me (actually was told I know nothing about Graham's abilities) that he was a player we needed. He would make impact plays and be like another O-Lineman for the run. 3 games in and I haven't seen any of that. The only thing I see is a guy from Colorado, who's Dad played for us years back so it makes Dan a Bronco fan favorite. Isn't he making something like $7 million this season? For what exactly?

We had many plays we could pin this game on... actually the defense has a whole first half HOWEVER the thing I hate worst is people talking $hit and then not backing it up.

DON'T CRY to the media signing a 36 million dollar contract that "NE didn't throw it to me enough, NE didn't throw it to me enough" and then go out and draft a huge 4th down pass.

That makes me want to kick him in the balls.

Shanahan was singing Dan's praises last week.

It's too early to call Graham a complete bust IMO. He is doing what Shanahan has asked of him. PART of the reason that he is not catching balls is that A) he is blocking and B) our WRs have stepped up.

One missed play does not make him a bust. Remember that Denver still had 70 more yards to go and would have had to stop J-Ville the rest of the game. The combination of both seemed unlikely as that game unfolded.

I already said, forget the drop. How did Graham help out the run game today? If he is in there blocking, (along with the 5 other guys), you'd think Henry would have more then a 2 yard average.

Its idiotic to think Dan Graham was a flop signing. His blocking was amazing. Don't forget he snagged a huge pass the first series only to be negated by the Mad Rapper Nate Jackson illegal shift. He was and still is a key signing. Just watch his blocking. Its hard to always see on TV but watching it live like I did today he kept Jay off his ass a couple times.

I don't watch game film, that's why they have Shanahan. But I am sure that Graham will grade out fine -- Shanahan called his TE play the best he'd seen last week. Sometimes a player is used as a decoy to design schemes and make the D show their hand. Sometimes Erik Pears gets manhandled and makes the entire OL look bad.

Hold on, how can you blame this loss on Graham? JACKSONVILLE HAD AN 11 MINUTE DRIVE AT ONE POINT. This one falls on the defenses inability to get off the field and the two costly turnovers by Young and Hixon. Quit blaming Graham

I agree for the most part. I don't call him a flop -- but its heard to deny that we paid a kings ransom for him. I am torn because I like him, but I feel that all these expensive FA players are starting to cost us. Particularly when we could have drafted either Graham or Walker instead of Lelie to begin with.
