now we know what it must have felt like to be an opposing fan when playing the Elway-led Broncos back in the day ... boy, were we spoiled.


With Elway, you constantly feared that you werent far enough ahead. And it wasnt that he would methodically pick you apart...it was that he would use every resource he had at his disposal, including his freakish athleticism, to scrap and scrape out a victory. No matter how far down the team was or how few weapons Elway had.

I imagine that it was more frustrating to root against Elway because he was like a hovering storm waiting to strike. Unflappable and unwavering. Uncontainable when others struggled with pressure.

Manning is more like a machine that when kept well lubricated, plows through the competition. But if a few things go wrong, the machine can sputter out when you need it.

He is the typical gunslinger just like how the both played. All made risky choises and forget it when they screw up all have the arm and all have a slight accuracy problem but every one can kill you on a play and they all are clutch in tight games. Sorry for my rant.
