View Full Version : A Few Thoughts From The Game...

...Jay is going to have major weapons. He was all over the field! RB's, WR's...it didn't matter. The fun thing about it...they were all there for him.

...the rain delay took a lot of momentum away. The Broncos were majorly fired up even before the INT that Marcus Thomas had. At that point it was 17-3. I think the Raiders would have been steamrolled had that game continued without the break. Our entire team was on a roll at that point.

...STOKELY is going to be huge for us this year. He caught everything his way...and made the big plays. He is just a clutch player to go along with Marshall and Javon. (Not to mention maybe a little inside knowledge... ;D )

...Jason scares me...even though Shanahan doesn't seem to be too worried about him.

...Lynch doesn't look like he's lost a step. Bailey is rocking..and Bly (even though he gave up Porter) will be good.
Bly made up for it on the INT when we needed it the most.

...Our rookies are going to rock. Saw good play from Jarvis, Thomas and again from Selvin.
(Selvin has the talent to be the next TD...that kid is just that good!)

...Cutler makes mistakes out there and it DOESN'T FAZE HIM...he just goes right back to playing football.

...BRONCO Fans are the best...what a great tailgate, what another awesome weekend!!! ;D

...Oh yeah...and if the Broncos keep playing like that every week...Pat Bowlen is going to have to
provide difibilerators at Invesco ;D

...Hey did I mention the Raiders and Chefs are both 0-2 ;D...and the Chargers are 1-1...what's that Bronco team again ?

One negative: I rewatched the game when i got home (ohhh i love NFL replay btw) i did notice that shanahan went to the well one too many times with the run game. Meaning the D could basically tell when the run was coming and made the easy stop that's when i would like to see cutler call a audiable to take advantage of it (yes i know hes young) i also agree with everything you said sassy.

I agree, but our home crowd needs to keep quiet when the offense is on the field...

I thought he ran too many plays with Henry at the end there. Henry was going no where...

I think I saw Cutler move his arms trying to quiet the crowd on one play. But maybe I'm just imagining things. Ha!

well they never shut him down completely, he was still chocking up yardage in OT, but you are right that when they guessed right, they would crush the play for no gain or at most 2 yards.

Yeah, twice actually. The 4th and 1 play was the worst because we were getting pretty loud and you could tell Cutler and the offense was having some trouble, and the Raider defenders were telling the crowd to get louder. That was embarassing.
Seriously guys, its okay to cheer, but cheer for a second then shut up. We almost had to call a timeout there.

I think the hometown crowd is really excited about our new QB which is understandable...

The cameras were shaking on TV. I think Mile High might be coming back bit by bit. I will be there Sunday to help that progression!

Definitely! If I remember right, I think Dan was open a few times.

Listening to the radio after the game, a couple people made some valid points. It might not be as loud as old Mile High, but when the Broncos defense needs the fans, they deliver. It gets pretty fricken loud now. It wasn't as loud as the Chargers game from 2005 or the Pats playoff game that year, but it was close.

Also, I think it is pretty clear we are getting back into things as Oakland had, what, 5 false start penalties? Gotta contribute the crowd to some of that.

Iam sure mike will get dan more envolved but getting jay going first is a priority everything else should fall into place.

It's been back since MNF 2005.

Yes the crowd cheering with our offense on the field was shameful. Hopefully we learn some football knowledge and figure out when to cheer and when not to!

The last few drives were the loudest that I have heard it at the new mile high. Louder then the playoff games. My throat was soar for 2 days.
There was so much excitement. People know to be "quiet" when we have the ball. It was just so exciting that people could not stop.

I agree that the crowd needs to calm down. Savvy fan bases are whisper silent when their team is about to snap the ball.

I noticed that too. The raiders D was waving their arms for the crowd to make some noise and the crowd obliged them without thinking. Obviously the wrong people are in the stadium for Broncos games if the crowd is going to root for the opponent. Ha!
