View Full Version : Do you want to see KFC get the #1 pick in draft next year?

I would rather they win 2-4 games as long as it is not vs us.

I do not want them to land the 1st pick as even a blind squirel finds a nut now and then.

I hope the redskins end up with it so we can steal it from them.

Don't they still need a decent kicker?

Drek
09-19-2007, 03:01 PM
Who do you think they'd draft?

Ryan Long? Lot of good that'll do 'em when the rest of their line is pretty crap.

Ken Dorsey? Not like their back seven doesn't suck anyhow.

Brian Brohm? Meh. To me he's very overrated. I think Andre Woodson pretty well upstaged him last weekend, and will be the better pro QB (short of Brohm landing in ATL).

Tim Tebow can't leave early yet, he's the only guy in college football who could save that franchise.

They'd probably take some overrated, undertalented media hype project like John David Booty anyways, he'll have some impressive numbers come year's end.

To answer your question....YES. I'm hoping for 0-16, the #1 pick and a complete flush of the front office and coaching staff. Anything less will be a bit of a disappointment but I am used to that from the Chiefs.

Just enough to put them at about pick #5-7...

Best scenario is for the Chiefs to go 7-9. That's "officially" a losing season, but it's not so bad that they would turn over the staff. Nor would they get great picks.

Best scenario for us (as far as the Raiders are concerned) is for Al Davis to be put on some sort of life-extending machine so that he can continue running them into the ground for the next X number of years. And they are perfectly capable of going 0-16 and still coming out of it with nothing.

I think we want to see San Diego win as many games as possible (so long as they don't finish ahead of Denver in the standings), just to run up their salary demands.

We'll go about 5-11. That will be good enough to get us a pick around 5 or 6. We will have a chance at an elite left tackle like Jake Long or Sam Baker.

And for the guy who said the rest of our line sucks. You ever heard of Brian Waters, that guy who has gone to the last 3 pro bowls? When was the last time Denver had a pro bowler on the offensive line? All Denver has is old, washed up nobodies.

yeah.. same QB. You honestly don't think that Damon Huard is going to have the same kind of year, do you? He's been an 11yr backup for a reason. There is a REASON he was beat out by BOTH Jay Fiedler and Ray Lucas. Last season was his CAREER year.. period. He's not going to duplicate that.

I know that most KC fans were scratching their heads on COMPLETE disbelieve that Huard was still even on the team after the way he had performed in the past with you guys. Yet now.. NOW.. you are expecting him to duplicate his career year, when he's obviously a horrible QB? The reason MOST people have the Chiefs at the BOTTOM of the power rankings, is BECAUSE you have the same QB... not despite it.

It's amazing how much you guys are stuck up Cutlers azz. What has the kid done so far? Beat the Cardinals, Faiders, Bengals(horrible defense) and the Bills?
So far he has proven that he is a QB with a rocket arm who is great player against bad teams and a below average QB against good teams.
I won't be convinced that he's a good QB until he starts winning games against good teams, especially on the road.

Hey KFCTurd Don't you follow your own team?

http://www.kansascity.com/sports/chiefs/story/278122.html

On the touchdown play, Bowe outjumped defenders and teammate Tony Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was the intended receiver, but Bowe changed his route when quarterback Damon Huard started to scramble. This brought Bowe’s defender to the end zone near Gonzalez.

“When the ball is in the air, the intended receiver is whoever gets the ball,” Bowe said. “Being that I’m a playmaker, my job is to make plays no matter where the ball is.

“Tony said, ‘You can’t do that.’ I told him I thought (Huard) was scrambling. He told me not to bring my guy to him. Then he was like, ‘Great catch. Keep doing it.’ It all paid off for me.”

The pass could have been intercepted by either of the two defenders in the area and could have been caught by Gonzalez.

“He made a play,” Gonzalez said. “He ran the wrong route, but I’m happy that he got his first touchdown, even if it might’ve been mine. He came out of nowhere and grabbed it. I don’t think it will happen again. We lucked out. It could’ve been disastrous. When you run into the same area like that, it means there’s more defenders over there. But it worked out today, and I’ll take it.”
