Holy sh*t!

It's 1:00 a.m. Pacific Time and I just now found out that the Broncos won today.

I switched off the TV in disgust right when Janikowski made that field goal, went away to sulk, and just now checked in with NFL.com and read about the outcome.

I was talking to my GF a little earler tonight, and she was talking about how the Broncos had won a squeaker, and I was asking her "WTF are you talking about? Did you watch a different game than the one I just saw?"

Anyway, this is one of those rare occasions when being wrong sure feels right.

;) ;D

Yeah, President Gore said it was one of the most exciting games he's ever seen. He's a big Cutler fan, being from Tennessee.

I missed most of the game cuz my wife got a flat tire, Long story. If Denver would have lost that game, yesterday would have been one of the worst day's of my life. Thank God for small favors.

I am loving this season. The energy, the fans and all the possibilities. I am looking forward to seeing what they do throughout the season.

Compare your reaction to last weeks win to yesterdays. Last week I was goin nuts, happy as hell. This week I just sat there stoically, went yessss quietly and then went to lay down. My heart cant take back to back weeks like this.

I think we all need to do a little yoga before the game to slow our heart rate. I think this is going to be a season of heart-threatening games. But, it's pretty dang fun!

This seriously may be one of the funniest things I've ever read. Glad you were on the winning end though, as I'm sure more than a few Raiders fans started celebrating and turned off the TV after that first FG. :)

Yeah, and that means a lot coming from the guy who invented field goals..heheheh

I was running data cable with a guy in my basement and could not stop to watch the game. I would pop up stairs for a drive here and there went downstairs.

I saw the last drive and went downstairs after the kick in disgust. My wife told me aout the timeout. I stayed downstairs thinking it was over and Janitorcowski would make the kick again. Lucky he missed the 2nd try.

I thought we had lost but I knew I heard a whistle so I was waiting to see what had happened.
I was pretty sure that he would nail the 2nd field goal too though.

If there is one thing I learned growing up a Broncos fan, it's NEVER turn off a game until it says FINAL. John Elway was the master at saving games, and it looks like Cutler has a similar quality that his teammate have confidence in. Cutler has a long way to go before he can carry Elway's jock, but he's going to be a good one. I have a feeling he's going to take this team places.

That's funny.

Just think if SeaBass missed the first one and got a second chance.
If that kick was a foot or two higher, I think they would have called it good. If the kick is above the uprights, the invisible plain of the upright is considered good.

That has the be the best twilight-zone moment in the history of twilight-zone moments.

I spent a little time on the Raiders Boards last night. Your twilight-zone moment ended with you in a happy place. Theirs? Not so much. :)

Very wild, but don't you think that D-Will might have had a hand in it from the skies above?

I did the same thing sulking over a Boise State loss after Zebransky threw the pick six....turned off the tube and whined and complained all night. Raised in Idaho, I called my brother in Oklahoma to see if he was a happy Sooner fan - "what the hell game are you watching?!" I quickly turned the tv back on and saw a sea of blue and orange celebrating their victory - OOOPS!

The good thing is that this would never happen to me. When the Broncos lose, I sit in pained silence for anywhere from five minutes to a few days, depending on a number of factors behind them losing.

A last-second play: a few hours, at least.

A division rival: depends on the way it ended, but usually a few hours.

A playoff game: If they snuck into the playoffs, only a few hours. When they back their way into playing the AFC Championship game at home against an overmatched opponent; well, that might take awhile.

There are many other factors - far too many to list.

I work out nearly everyday, ya know, not a total work out warrior, but try to run 2-3 miles and do some lifting. I think the 3 hours watching this game (or really just the second half) tired me out more than any work out ive ever had. Seriously, i was too exhausted to move afterwards and apparently i was grinding my teeth cause i noticed my jaw was sore.

Never forgot that one of my buddies did the same thing when CU won the Miracle in Michigan in '94. Of course, when we called him later to come to our post game rager, he was very much in WTF mode. Good times

This will never happen to you if you remember the SOUTH STAND RULES!!

1. NEVER LEAVE EARLY.
2. GET ON YOUR FEET!
3. BRONCOS! WIN OR LOSE!
4. (About a half different chants specific to SouthStanders)

There were some other things we did in the stands that are just gone but the number one rule in the South Stands.

"Hey buddy! Where you going?"
"The Broncos are down by 50 points."
"So? Is the game over? Do you know how many blind, one armed mutant teenagers would give their other arm to sit where you are sitting right now?"
"Um. No."
"Do you have some fire emergency or a life to save? Have you invented a cure for cancer? SIT YOUR FAT ASS DOWN and watch the rest of this game!"

Other southstanders would cheer..... Southstanders used to be nuts.
