The Denver Broncos (1-0) can set a franchise record by winning their eighth consecutive home opener on Sunday when they face the Oakland Raiders

Oakland led 21-20 with less than eight minutes to play but could not hold on as Detroit scored on each of its final three possessions.

Denver has won its last seven home openers, a streak that ties for the longest in club history. From 1975-81, the Broncos also were undefeated in their first home game of the season. Denver, which is 11-1 in home openers under Mike Shanahan, owns a 20-3 (.870) record in its first home game of the year since 1984.

Mike Shanahan owns a 19-5 (.792) record against Oakland and with a win on Sunday can join the Redskins’ Joe Gibbs (21 vs. Cardinals) as the only two active coaches with at least 20 regular-season wins against one opponent.

The Broncos have won their last nine home games in the month of September, marking the longest such streak in the NFL. Denver also takes a 16-3 home divisional record since 2001 into Sunday’s game that ties for the best in the league during that period.

Yes, they don't override the local channels for some reason, still. I had heard that this was going to go away, there is more to it though with the local advertising. They don't want to loose their revenue from local advertisers.

if you pay for sunday ticket, you sould be able to watch any game at any time and not miss any action.

what they should do is that if the early game goes long, they should let you watch the first part of the late game on your sunday ticket and when your local station switches, they black you out so you then switch to your local channel. how ****ing hard is that concept?
