my last dog, elway, passed away about 2 months ago, massive internal bleeding, he was an 11 year old golden retriever. so we are talking about getting a new dog, i think we are gonna name him cutler :)

so damnit jay, you better stick around for awhile, i dont want my dog named after a jets quarterback in 7 years.

Champ is the safe way to go. I think Cutler will be a stud for us for years to come, but you never know. Just imagine having a dog named Griese right now.

I got my mother a chi hua hua just after the first Super Bowl win and named him Tyrone after Tyrone Braxton. I don't really think the player has to be around for a long time as long as it's a good name.

How about naming him Henry? As long as you promise to have him neutered...

The name "Hixon" just oozes machisimo.

And also, if another dog runs into it, it'll bounce right off. Your dog will be tough, and apparently made of steel.

Just keep him away from Griese.

Champ is a good name, my buddy named his cat Jake, so when we went to Jay, it was fairly easy for the cat to transfer.

I dare you to show Braxton a picture of 'little Braxton' and see if he still signs an autograph for you.... :peace:

Of course, the dog will almost definitely outlive him. So, I don't know if I would go there. :)

Cutler is a great name. I get a feeling from watching that Jay is going to be around for a long time, barring injury. He will lead this team as long as he is healthy. He has skills that I have not seen since the ladder part of Elway's carreer. Call your new dog "Cutler".

I'm sorry, i love Jay Cutler, but Cutler is a crap name for a pet. Name it Sir Mawn Wilson

We're getting an English Bulldog as soon as my daughter starts walking - I'm guessing it will be around Christmas. An English Bulldog just has to have an ironic name. I am always open to suggestions.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, though.

By all means, go with Cutler.

Pick something iconic, that will never change.

How about "Predominantly Orange."

It goes perfectly with this place and this thread.

That way if something happens, you can always say you named him after Jesus Christ.

My wife would slay me if I named any of our pets after a Bronco player. However, we are trying for our first child together, and she has actually went out and bought the first two outfits (hoping for twins) - two tiny Bronco shirts. So I am ever so slowly bringing her around.
