You have to feel pretty good for CU's own Mason Crosby today. Three for three in field goals; including a 53-yarder, and the game-winner as time expired. I have the feeling that today is the first game of a long and productive career for Mr. Crosby.
And making it even better is that Justin Medlock, the guy that the Chefs took thirty-three picks ahead of Crosby, missed a 31-yarder on the opening drive - a kick that would have given the Chefs what might turn out to be their only shot at a lead all season :D .

Good for Crosby and good for Carl Peterson. Keep it up Carl and yes the check is in the mail.

Definitely .... and the Cowboys took a kicker too while he was on the board. Mason is from Texas, and loved the Cowboys growing up ... I hope he makes "face-o-plasty Jones" pay for that.
BRAVO MASON! ... did you see they gave him a game ball in the lockeroom? Awesome ... first game in the league, and he nails a game-winner and gets the game-ball.
Has anybody ever discussed around here all the facial plastic surgery that nut-job has had?

Dude, that was a long time ago. His plastic surgery has had plastic surgery by now. Granted, it looks freakish and disturbing. But I look at most of that stuff the same. It's like hair pieces. Are there good hair pieces? Are there lots of people running around with hair pieces that are so good that nobody notices? Because man! - it seems like a colossal bad idea. You can usually spot them a mile away, and you're just embarrassed for the guys wearing them.
Same deal with plastic surgery (at least the kind above the shoulders, with the exception of maybe the nose). Every time I see it, I think, "Ew. Bad idea!" I don't think Jerry Jones is all that abnormal, when it comes to that crap. If you grade eye lifts, botox injections, etc. on a curve, it ends up about what you would expect: Bad.

I bet KC is really pissed since they just cut Medlock who they drafted a round ahead of Crosby. They also just signed the kicker Crosby replaced in GB.

I have a buddy who is a Packer fan and he said that other kicker (his name escapes me) is pretty damn good too. He said it was neck and neck between him and Crosby throught TC. Obviously, Crosby was slightly better.
The funny thing was that I was thinking about Denver picking that guy up after Elam missed his second FG of the day...that thought was quickly dismissed after he won the game on the final play...silly me! :notworthy

You know, Mason probably wouldn't have missed any kicks in Buffalo...

He would of only kicked one FG, the 50 yarder, and been our KOS. I was looking forward to this no brainer late round draft pick and having Crosby sit behind Elam this year (except for the 45+ yarders). But the Broncos felt they had to trade those picks to insure the accuisitions of Moss and Thomas.
So be it, they get paid for these decisions for a reason.

The guy's name is Dave Rayner. He broke all of Morton Anderson's college records. He spent one year as Indy's kickoff specialist before going to GB. Hate to see him with the squaws

Crosby will hold all the records by the time his career is finished. I loved watching him play in Boulder. Never, ever any angst about sending him in no matter where on the field. Good to see him coming out with a splash! I want to tell the Green Bay fans "hell this is just a preview of what he's going to do for you guys!
Oh and I saw Gerode last night - center for Cowboys. Nice to see his name mentioned a couple times. Well, except for the time he was featured for a holding call ... but you know what I mean.
