The beginning of the season is finally here I would like to thank my fellow orangemaners for keeping Me sane during the off season this site is a great place to hang during the long off season of football that said …With the draft, Free agency and preseason over what are 3 things you expect to see this season from the Broncos? And what are 3 things you hope to see? Here are mine!

Three things I anticipate from the Broncos are.

1) I expect to see the Broncos running game be taken to a level we have not gotten to enjoy scents Portis was are running back .With the addition of Gram and are LT back I believe that Henry should be a top 5 RB this year 1400 + 12 TD will be possible. Should the O-line Gel early in the season Henry might be on his way to the pro bowl and that will help a young Jay Cutler QB this team.

2) The time to step up for Baby T.O [ Brandon Marshall ]and Tony Scheffler is now! Most Bronco fans I know were scratching their head when Scheffler was Drafted, I expect that this year thanks to the pick up of Gram in the off season we will fineally have a TE who is a great blocker (Gram) and a TE who can get down field (Tony) and make some great catches. So I expect Tony & Marshall to become game changers for the Broncos offence.

3) The rise of QB JAY CUTLER, I expect to never again see a JAY vs [INSERT LAME QB] tread after the season is over. With a full year studying coach shahann offensive playbook and the insight given to Cutler with the help of the one of the greatest football minds ever, I expect to see a young QB become a force and win his first of Minnie playoff games.

Three things i desire to see.

1) Jim Bates turn the Denver Broncos an to a top 10 defense.

2) Champ and bly Help put the Denver Broncos on the map as one of if not the best ever cornerback
duels ever to play on the same team.

3) A great year with no big injury and the growth of our young D line helping the Broncos become a
Championship caliber team once again.

1) LT and LJ pounding us into submission
2) Bigger, more powerful, and less skilled teams beating us
3) 6 to 8 wins

not being negative, just realistic.

I would like to see better specials teams - in all facets of the ST game ... that has been a quiet killer for us in recent years.

1. This will be another typical 8-10 win Denver team in the post-Elway era.
2. Cutler will have his great games and some dogs.
3. Broncos will field their worst defense since the 2000-01 seasons.

hard to argue with that considering how the preseason went.

I hope to see a ball control offense that we haven't had for many years...Portis was nice for the big play to earn some respect for the passing game but when it came down to 3rd and more than 3, he wasn't special....thus he is gone. If we can maintain drives, get some early points on the board it will just allow the defense to dictate the pace of the game instead of keeping us in a close one.

I expect to see:

1. a bootleg burn the chiefs time and time again
2. an awful, awful run defense. not so good when you play the top 2 running backs in the game 4 times combined
3. 9-10 wins with a first round loss if a wildcard is scraped

Did anyone read the piece when they had asked Jim Bates on the preseason performance?

He had said he knows the defense wasn't performing well. He said that he could have blitzed all pre-season and pounded opponents but it was about experimenting things...

Pre-season is about trying stuff out...I don't think you'll see any real stuff in the pre-season.

At least not from the Denver Broncos.

1-Excitement on offense- It's guaranteed that Cutler will have his struggles, but I would be willing to bet we will also see some pages of the playbook that we haven't seen around here since the Super Bowl days.

2-A rough start on defense- We were the most vanilla team that I saw in any preseason game I watched, and I think there were two reasons for that. First the team is learning a new system and Bates wants them to have the basics down pat. Second, because they don't have the basics down pat, we weren't able to move into more complicated areas.

3-Vast improvement- I think this team will be far better in week 16 than they are in week 1. That bodes well if we're heading into the playoffs, but it won't be great if we've shot ourselves in the foot right out of the gate and aren't in contention. Cutler and the offense will have to carry this team in the early going, which is a lot to ask from a second year QB even though everything I've seen from Cutler says he's going to be a great one.

More than anything I expect there to be grandiose overreactions to the Buffalo game next week, no matter which way it goes down. We looked terrible in the preseason for the most part, but we looked pretty good the last couple of years and stunk up week 1 on both occassions.

I think there was a concerted effort to keep a lot of the scheming under wraps, and I'm looking forward to seeing some real action.

I'm sorry ICON but are you attempting to butcher the language or what exactly? I've never, to my recollection, hammered anyone for their skills of lack thereof but damn...Your're either very smart or incredibly stupid (wink).

Expectations:

1) The o-line will suck as least the first half of the year.

2) Teams won't try the deep pass because of Bailey and Bly. They'll run it right down Denver's throat.

3) Better defensive field position because of Todd Sauerbrun.

Hopes:

1) I'm wrong about the o-line.

2) B. Marshall is equal to or better than Walker.

3) J. Cutler becomes Elway-like in his pocket presents and elusiveness.

* There's no point in hoping that the Denver defense will stop or even slow down good rushing teams.

Yeah, I'm not optimistic at this point.

LJ doesn't have the OL this year in front of him he will not be pounding anything accept his fist on the turf when he figures out (he aint all that) LT is a different story and leaps and bounds better than LJ without the blocking.

2) Jay Cutler leads this team to the playoffs and shows he is the REAL DEAL

3) Defense gets a grip on what Bates wants and becomes a top 5 defense
