A player lost, another gained on active day for Vikings

The Vikings added an intriguing tight end prospect but lost a promising quarterback during a flurry of activity Sunday at Winter Park.

Tight end Garrett Mills arrived via waiver claim from New England, even after Patriots coach Bill Belichick apparently implored the Vikings to pass on him. But rookie quarterback Tyler Thigpen, whom the Vikings wanted to put on their practice squad and develop for the future, was claimed by Kansas City and will begin the season on the Chiefs' active roster.

Looks like Brodie Frail will have some serious competition as QBOF in KC :giggle:

Promising quarterback? That means he's already heads and tails above Huard and Croyle.

Is he related to that Thigpen that played receiver for the Steelers many years ago?

Honestly, if this QB couldn't edge out Bollinger, how much potential could he really have?

It must be nice getting waived and then going to a team where you know that immediately you are the second best QB without taking a snap.

Easily the next Tom Brady. He's already more talented than Cutler or Rivers. Carl is a genius!
