Tell me everything you guys know/have seen this pre-season/etc about Vincent Jackson.

I'm thinking he could make a great late round gem, so yeah, tell me everything. How he's playing, what he eats for breakfast, how many children he's fathered, any dogfighting allegations, etc.

Wasn't he hurt? ???
NM I must have been thinking of someone else...
I found this...

Vincent Jackson caught three touchdown passes in two preseason games.Impact: He caught four passes for 92 yards in San Diego's third preseason game, including a 33-yard score. Even if Jackson doesn't put up 1,000 yards, his red zone skills should lead to big fantasy points.

Was he? I know he played a couple nights ago in Arizona, but I didn't see him myself.

I think it was Eric Parker I was thinking of...I found the above info on Vincent.

Just curious how he is doing going into his 3rd year, and how your offense is going to run with an emerging #1 WR there. As a huge fan of Northern Colorado, I'm very interested in following this young man's career, even if he is playing for a rival team. You guys look pretty dangerous!

(There. It's football related. A big thumb's up to whomever moved it to a forum nobody reads. Thanks!)

Jackson has been looking great in the pre-season. Three TDs and all but one of his other catches have gone for first downs. He has seemed to developed into the big play guy for Rivers to go to at receiver, even though Rivers like to spread the ball around and not lock in on one guy.

He did go up and snag a touchdown pass at it's peak in the endzone against the Rams. That's something I've been wanting to see from him since not using his height and body was his big weakness last year.

He seemed a little shaky in the first game (dropped pass, false start) but he's seemed to put that behind him and looks focused now. If he can keep that focus up for the duration of the season, he could be in for a big year.

He looks really good. 90some yards and 2 TDs against Arizona last week.

Do you guys think Legedu Naanee will stick... I didn't realize you had so many Broncos on your pre-season roster. How are Gabe Franklin and Quinton Jones looking?

Naanee will definetely stick. Jones got cut already, and I think Franklin may have too.

Even with Rivers spreading around the ball, is VJ considered the #1 WR on the depth chart? Should he see a lot of balls?

I'm still bitter about Denver's lack of interest in him out of college. But whatever, it's ancient history at this point.

Is this a FF question? ;)

Yes, he's the #1 WR. I would say he will have the most catches out of the WRs.

If that question was from BOBO this thread would go in complete different direction.

Gates will once again the most TDs and catches...next.

I think denver showed to much interest in him causing the chargers to move up a couple slots to get him. O well we got two big receivers ourselves in Javon Walker and Brandon Marshall.

I think teams will put their "big" WR on Bly and try to throw those soft sideline patterens over Bly. Jackson would be perfect for that role. Conversely, I think either Walker or Marshall will present problems for any DB out there. Further, with Stokley, the S will will have to cover..... Jackson is one. Denver has three.....

FF? On the main forum? Never!

One last thing -- You say most catches out of WRs, but does that include Gates? I mean, I know Gates is a stud and I expect him to see a lot of action, but just wondering how to gauge expectations. I won't be starting VJ most likely, but still.

No, not including Gates. Gates will be the #1 "receiver". Jackson is the #1 WR.

But I would expect those two to lead the team in TD receptions.

I would personally expect around 800 yards and 9 TDs out of Jackson this year with Gates getting his standard 1000 yards 10 TDs.

I picked Jackson and Brandon Marshall for my FF team for the last WR spot. I think I'll start Jackson at the begining of the year as we wait to see if Marshall can crack our real starting lineup.

btw, Marshall is the only Bronco I drafted, and somehow I ended up with LT as well. I really hate starting 2 SD guys, but I try to be objective with FF.

I like Marshall. I think he's going to be a good player.

I won't draft him though (or any other Bronco or Chief players). My FF rule. :)

I hear you. I ended up with Travis Henry in one league and Javon Walker in the other. Makes me feel dirty!!

I'm too competitive to go with any team affiliations in FF. I mean, sure a guy could win without taking rival players, but ****, if I can take LaDanian, by God I'm taking him.
