I always liked him, and always new he would turn into a top flight QB if he ever got a line to play behind.

I think Ramsey is one of the better backups. He was drafted to be the Skins next franchise QB like Heath Shuler and Jason Campbell.

The most fun to be had this season? Watching fat slob Sapp on the sidelines telling Kiffin what to do and that old, greasy carcass up in the booth ordering Kiffin over the headset to, "Go deep!" I thought the Faders stunk it up before, but this year promises to be their best. Not only will they stink it up, but they'll look like the friggin Keystone Kops while doing it. Ha!
What's the over/under on when Greasy Al fires Kiffin? I say game #10.

Shameless flaming???
I hope so, I'd like to think you know atleast a thing or two about football. Go back and watch that deep strike to Walker on 3rd and 12 on our first series. Cutler has some serious velocity and pinpoint accuracy on his passes. The only thing that concerns me... the # of batted balls at the LOS. The announcer mentioned today that the OL needs to get those Defenders arms down. Never heard of that. Perhaps create good passing lanes can be placed on the OL but I think it's the QB's responsibility to find the lanes and throw the ball around the DL's hands/arms.

Ramsey could be responsible for the creation of a new position: "Trailer Receiver."
Since he seems to throw his passes so often behind the receiver, they could
send two out in tandem on a pattern. Ramsey aims for the first one, and it hits
the following receiver between the numbers.
Regarding the comment from the Silly & Lack troll on our line, that is rather
ironic, isn't it, considering the source? I mean, our starting guard left us and
went over there, thereby strengthening both lines. :D

I agree that the Raiders are going to SUCK.. But at the same time I think it is going to be a dog fight for the bottom spot with KC. Who would want to watch the KC Oak games this year?? the battle for the #1 pick that most likely will be the same #1 pick as last year....

Thats a tall order for him man. But its not his fault, when you root for a team that is just flat out bad it can take a toll on you.

I'm hoping we can get JaMarcus Russell to be our backup next year when he re-enters the draft and slips to the 3rd round.

I'm not even going to try to decide what's humor and what's not in this thread and just state that Ramsey freaking blows. After his performance last night, he's lucky to be #2.
That is all.
Edited: to fix awful typos.

The raider smack talk train will derail about week 4 and RR and his darth vader quilting club will dig there charger jerseys out of the closet and not be seen until the next preseason.

If Ramsey ends up your starter, you're in for a world of mediocre hurt. He'll be just good enough to get a following of fervent dimwits but just bad enough to indirectly lose pretty much every game for you.
Long live Jay Cutler.

Yup ... and he was "Saviour"-drafted to football-crazed DC just as noted "quarterback's best friend" Steve Spurrier took over the O-Line challenged Redskins. And he started Ramsey as a rookie. I cannot think of a worse scenario for a rookie quarterback. Despite this awful predicament, and despite the puzzling dislike for him around here, he hasn't donebadly:

I really have no idea why Ramsey draws such haters around here ... he did start slow this summer, but he was excellent against Dallas in a bad situation. And granted, his clock management at the end of the Browns game was truly horrible, but what an arm! He is undoubtedly in the top half of all NFL backups, I'd say Top 10. Look at our division: Brodie Croyle, Andrew Walter, Billy Volek. Volek had that one good year, but I'll take Ramsey - he has the best stats overall, and the best arm (other than Walter - who's a joke). I suppose he's similar to Volek/Boller/Carr/Harrington in that he had his chance to start but was later demoted. Personally, I love the guy ... partly cause he's an INTELLECTUAL. A double-major academic All-America at Tulane.

How do you think Campbell will do this year?
If he stays healthy, probably about 2800 yards, 17 TDs, 13 INTs and about a 58% completion percentage. They're not going to ask too much of him.

These are all the same reasons we liked him. Everyone thought he was a great pick at the time we drafted him. But, as it turns out, regular intelligence does not necessarily translate into poise and good decisions on the football field.
Some say Spurrier killed the kid, some say he never had it. All I know is that in his career to this point, he has had terrible mid and sort range accuracy, gets happy feet which leads to errant throws and tends to look like a deer in the headlights out there at times.
He's a tough kid and a great guy, I'll grant him that. I'd love to have him as a backup (over either of our backups, actually) but I wouldn't want him as my starter for any extended period of time if I had playoff aspirations.
