Looking for volunteer writers for the season. One article a week, win or lose. Articles get posted to the front page where all the women can fawn over them and admire how smart you are.
Alec need not apply. We need people who can form coherent thoughts and know something about football... ;)
I'm looking for 3 or 4 committed folks. Let me know in this thread. Don't call me, I'll call you. I get way too many PMs as it is... zowie!

TJ, why don't you examine the posts, find some who have done some of the
better jobs at writing, and solicit them directly?
I don't know . . . that would seem to qualify someone more than "me me me!"
Oh, and don't bother with mine. I don't want it. :)
-----
Did you see the part where he said don't call me I'll call you. He is a guy with a young child, a career, and a site to run. In other words do you think he has time to peruse posts and solicit people? This way people can express interest and he can go from there.
Sometimes I think people picture TJ as this guy who is independently wealthy who has all the time in the world.

I would be very happy to write an article every week. I don't post often but I read here almost daily. If you would like I would be happy to submit an article of your chosen length for an evaluation, just give me a Bronco topic.Thank you for the invitation.

Uhummmm....post your resumes please - seriously! As a lover of the OM, I don't want to misspend any brain cells attempting to follow a winding stream of consciousness when you 'hopefuls' post your brains intimate convictions about my Broncos. To call someone “arrogant” is one thing. A matter of personal opinion, I suppose. But to label someone a “prick” is quite another… especially, directed to someone you don’t even know. It just strikes me as downright mean.
I’m new to this forum and, as such, I’m a little bit hesitant to engage in any public “flaming” wars. If you’d care to PM me as to how you justify calling out someone as an “arrogant prick,” I’d be willing to listen.

I see. Yep, I suppose you can “say whatever you want.” Ironically, I left Broncomania because it was getting a little too PC. Got one of their little “infraction points” for “insulting” a Raider fan, matter of fact. (I was actually just chiding him a little, but forgot to insert a “smiley,” afterwards, which you just duly did, btw).
Guess what I’m saying is this: Just as “you are what you eat,” it could also be said “you are what you say.” The Internet has become more of a “real” community as opposed to a “virtual” community. By now, the novelty is over. Internet veterans are well aware that behind every typed word in cyberspace is a real human being. So, in that sense, I wouldn’t want to type something in here that I would not be willing to say to my neighbor on the other side of the picket fence (or stockade fence, as the case may be).
That said, I did smile at your "dumb prick" closing.

I dont remember getting manhandled. Oh wait, you think I actually read any of your replies? Hahaha. Dream on dumbass. Let me explain something to you: I throw grenades, I walk away, I dont give a **** what you say afterwards.
If I got manhandled, it was only in your mind. If you smack talked back to me, had I read it I gaurantee you I would have eviscerated you with words you probably dont even know. You are "new" as in, no one knows you and judging by replies to most of your posts, no one even likes you.

Yeah, and here's a little tune from 1974 that pretty much sums up them little smilies:
I tell you you can't see behind smiling faces
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)
I'm telling you beware, beware of the handshake that hides the snake
Listen to me now beware, beware of that pat on the back
It just might hold you back.
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.
Your enemy won't do you no harm
'Cause you know where he's coming from
Don't let the handshake and the smile fool ya
Take my advice I'm only tryin' to school ya.
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes they don't tell the truth, uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces tell lies and I got proof.

I've tried to convey this time and time again but until you really start putting some faces to screen names it just doesn't sink in for some. All too often people say things like "It's just the internet, it's just a message board etc. It all depends on whether you have this perspective you are talking about.
It's weird. The community of online football fans is growing exponentially but at the same time it's becoming a smaller community in that other sites are forming just like this one and members from various boards are meeting people in real life/at games/ at tailgates etc. It's an interesting phenomena to me personally. Not uncommon to go find a random community on the net and recognize a screen name from the mane or another football board.
Well anyway I'm done trying to play peace maker. Have at it.

It didn't take a month... It took a couple weeks though. I'm working in a position where I've got a lot of responsibility, and work. They're talking about making me a director. That would be great! 8')
In any case, I'll look through the thread. Maybe every week isn't the way to go. Maybe I look for a good corps of people who can write every other week and rotate them.
We'll figure out something to keep original content flowing. I always enjoy reading the fan-based articles. They're more organic, and a lot less stuffy.

I really need to clarify something because I do not need to get this reputation.
And this is not "picking a fight" with you, also a member who has been
around. It is, rather, a generic comment.
I am a well respected member on another board . . . in fact, I am the all-time
points leader there (although I might have been surpassed recently since I
stopped posting there). So I know what it is like for a noob to come on board
and attempt to pick a fight with me. Moreover, my join date will indicate that
I am not "new" here. Although I haven't posted much since, I have lurked,
and I made my first post nearly 1½ years ago. Therefore, that is the last
thing I want to do here.
I made an impulsive mistake by answering a knee-jerk remark with a knee-jerk
reply. That was very unwise and uncharacteristic of me. I felt I should have
answered that poster, but I could have done a better, more pleasant job of
it, especially because that poster really had good intentions, despite the way
he came across.
I have since edited out the silly part of my post and gone behind the scenes
to make amends with him. That was because of his intentions. Regarding the
others, I take a different perspective on meddling, as apparently do you.
Now, perhaps we can get this thread back on topic (sorry, TJ).

Topscribe and I handled this via PM, no ill will on my part. Atlas I appreciate you having my back its nice to be considered a respected poster.
As I said in my PM Topscribe, you tend to fly off the handle when there is a perceived lack of respect given you. Thats awesome you are highly regarded over at the other board. That is there and its something you have to earn here. You have great takes from what I have read so don't cloud them with irate angry threads, unless otherwise directed towards KC, SD, or OAK Trolls :~ohyah!:

I think we might have a mistaken perception here. I'm not worried about
respect just toward me. I happen to believe in respect among people. That is
why I humbly listened to another poster, even though he was blatantly
attacking me at the time, and edited the stupid remark out of my post to you.
But, I don't know. Maybe "prick stripes" are more important here. We'll see . . .

Regading the two businesses thing and the other board, I suggest you go back
and read those comments in their context, rather than to rip them out and post
it here with the purpose of trolling and flaming me and meddling in something
that did not concern you in the first place.I'm very concerned that you think I shouldn't be concerned.
Regarding the "John Holmes" thing: I guess that's the macho kind of thing that
appeals to you. As you go through the years, you will come to understand that
other issues are far more important than the size of one's biceps . . . or Holmes.
But I still like your screen name.
-----And I'm very concerned that you think there are more important things than the size of one's biceps or John Holmes member.
Be advised though that bragging about being "the man" on another board equals shoveling manure here.

At the very least, they have completely renounced any self-respect they might have once had.
I had a buddy in high school that went off to try his hand at acting. Twenty years later, he's still trying (although he does have a real job "on the side"). He's been in a few commercials (The most notable one was that Chevy Avalanche commercial where he pulls up and someone comes up and asks, "Change for a buck?" My buddy then changes his Avalanche from an SUV to a truck, and takes the guy's buck - they played it on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain about eleventy billion times), and those actually pay surprisingly well. But the process he describes for trying out for a job is, well, not very conducive to self-confidence building.
These guys have obviously been through that process a lot.

When I first signed into Broncomania, I had never taken part in any message
board whatsoever. So I went into there, not sure of anything, learning, getting
to know my way around and getting acquainted. While there was a certain
degree of "initiation," most of my new experience was pretty smooth.
When I came here, as you mentioned, I was established over there, one of
the "heavy hitters," as it were, I guess. So I just dove right in here. As I said
recently to some of my friends here (and they said to me), that was a
mistake. No matter where you go, whatever the venue, if you are not known,
you need to sort of stand back and let others come up and introduce
themselves. You don't step up to the lecturn and start making speeches.
Anyway, I came here fully armed, as it were. Big mistake. A stranger coming
onto the scene, "fully armed," is going to raise alarm and suspicion and make
himself susceptible to attack. But, when the bullets started flying, I had the
choice of firing back or tucking my tail between my legs and running. I found
myself forced to doing it the hard way, when originally I would not have had
to. Still, those who already knew me, and a few who didn't, stood up and
supported me through it.
Thank you for this post, Kaylore. You know me from over there because you
go and visit once in a while. I should have learned from your example because,
even though you are a "name" over here, you also had to become acquainted
over there . . . in fact, I remember having to stand up for you against an ill-
mannered poster there. But still, you minded your manners, were quiet and
unassuming, and showed the class over there that you do over here, until you
could become acquainted and people started to know your name.
As far as "multi-user" or "another past," look at the words under my screen
name. They are there because I mean it. I am who I am. What you see is
what you get. The genuine article. No surprises. All those clichés. "Topscribe"
is a user name I have used for about a decade now, all over the internet, in
dozens of places. I have a good name through it, and I am not about to do
anything to tarnish it.
To the squaws fan who had something to say about me, live with it. I don't
care. I'll do my best to fit in with my Broncos colleagues, and you are along
for the ride. ;)

I heard that some people are sooo long winded that they have to take a breath to finish their farts.
I have been waiting to use the above line since BroncoBuff stopped writing treatises for posts about a year ago so don't take it personal. :sunshine:
I have to use my material when I have the chance.
Dude, you were the one supposedly with the big Holmes...not TJ.
Virtual suckups are NOT attractive!
Now the guy has got 50 PMs from Bob.

If I ever meet the Cellist in the street there will be blood spilled.
"Viva my fist, 'lonesome toad!'"
You mean Bassist don't you? No cello was bowed in the making of that comercial.
It is said Bass players are all frustrated Guitar players, apparently that is not all that frustrates this dude.

So do you have a big Johnson or not.
If it is as big as your ego you will be forced to mate with cows.
Actually, I'm a eunuch. :vermeil:

No ****. He reminds me of milehighmojoe.... Christ, if you wanted to get them in the same room together you'd have to rent out an auditorium to be able to fit both of their egos.

Thats his name. I knew it was MileHigh something. There are definitely some parallels. I don't think Top is on the same level though. Remember Mojoe would post his blogs from myspace and people would rip him. Good times, good times. Then when times would get rough he would call out TJ about the type of site he was running. Man that guy was too much.

Mojoe was a 50 year old myspace king!!
I gave a sarcastic remark about how he was on myspace to pick up 15 year olds and he sent me back a winking smille face. That is all I needed to know.

Remember when he said he was a cop but then it turned out he was a cop for something like a week. That guy was so very strange. He had that creepy pedophile picture with his little smirk and Broncos jacket. I know he still posts from time to time so I am sure he might come across this and yell at us.
