Yeah, maybe for a ****ing idiot it's an honest mistake Charlie.
Let's see, it's illegal for anyone under 21 to consume or possess alcohol, but it's an honest mistake that Jimmy thought he could drive someone over 21 to a liquor store in order for the of age person to buy alcohol. I'm sure Jimmy was just going to drive that person home and he wasn't going to consume any booze either.
Anyone who believes this excuse should ask for a refund for their public school education because they didn't get their money worth.

Uh, I think you should go ask for your refund for public school education. If Clausen had the intent to drink he's a member of the Notre Dame football team, of course if he asked someone get it for him. He wouldn't need to drive someone to go buy it for him. This law really needs to be removed. A DUI is one thing, but transporting alcohol? So now kids can't drive their mothers to the store to buy alcohol? Ridiculous.

Kids need to drive their parents to the store so mom can buy booze? How big of an alcoholic is mom that she can't drive there herself? Quality example you can up with there ace.
and no, the law does not need to be changed for the very reason that Jimmy got caught, there's simply ono reason for anyone under 21 to be transporting anyone else to a liquor store to buy booze.

thid is about the dumbest thing in the world if u ask me. just cause someone underage is driving doesnt mean that the passenger isnt capable of doing so. thats like arresting someones 16yr old kid that just got his license because they drove to the gas station and one of their parents bought cigarettes.

The problem is that everyone at ND thinks they are above the law. They have been getting away with crap for at least the last 50 years.

If I told the stories I know first hand from 40 years ago, the ND'ers would just sit there with their fingers in their ears screaming nananananananana.
