Falcons | Vick hit with lawsuit alleging Al Qaeda ties
Wed, 15 Aug 2007 11:40:29 -0700

Fox News reports Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick has been hit with a "$63,000,000,000 billion dollar" lawsuit filed by a South Carolina inmate who alleges Vick stole his pit bulls and sold them on eBay to buy "missiles from Iran." Jonathan Lee Riches alleges that Vick stole two white mixed pit bull dogs from his home in Holiday, Fla., and used them for dog fighting operations in Richmond, Va. Vick allegedly sold the dogs on eBay and "used the proceeds to purchase missiles from the Iran government." The complaint also alleges that Vick would need those missiles because he pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda in February of this year

Give an inmate time, a law book, and an imagination and you get genius like that!

Best line of the complaint!

“Michael Vick has to stop physically hurting my feelings and dashing my hopes,” Riches writes in the complaint

For just a minute, if this were true, what self-respecting lawyer would file this sort of thing? The Court Clerks would just laugh him out of the office, I would think.

"Self-respecting" and "lawyer" maybe an oxymoron, I know, but this just has to be a joke.....

Doesn't need a lawyer, can file on his own. I read an article that found many inmates spend time reading law books, trying to find loopholes to get out. So they get a good general knowledge of law. I don't think you need to have the paper from a college to file.

If you think about it, the longer they stay in prison, learning jailhouse law, the more likely it is that they aren't really any good at it, because otherwise they'd get out. Right? So the really talented ones loose their educational opportunities early while the incompetents just get more and more educated.

Which leads us to the simple principle that if you want to find a good lawyer, it's usually best to look for one who isn't serving time in prison.

Riches wants $63 billion dollars “backed by gold and silver “ delivered to the front gates to the Williamsburg Federal Correctional facility in South Carolina.

Excellent point, but a bad jailhouse lawyer with nothing but time can still file a lawsuit and waste Vicks time. What are they going to do to the inmate?

Even if Mexico bought missles from Iran he still couldn't hit his WR's from point blank range.
