He kept telling us that Burton was having a great camp, and low and behold he was starting while Kennedy & McKinley were on the bench; Warren didn't make the trip, and Thomas didn't suit up.
Thanks for the camp reports.

Wasn't it Gordon?

But I thought Burton was the guy having the great camp...so why was Gordon starting? This is getting confusing...and why wasn't Thomas at least suited up?

We talked about this a little yesterday. Gordon was the one that Kaylore specifically mentioned several times in his daily reports as having a great camp.
Someone else came in yesterday and thought Burton was mentioned similarly in the reports, but in reality he wasn't. Kaylore gave him one or two shoutouts over the two weeks, but he was consistently running with the 3rd team defense against the 3rd team offense the few times he was making plays in TC....so it really didn't mean much.
In short, Gordon appears to have the talent and the hunger.....Burton will most likely be cut or put on the PS if he's even eligible.

No, he was. It was on a draw and he read it and disengaged from his block and made the tackle. They ran that stupid draw every time they needed more than twelve yards and the Broncos gave up close to ten every time. It was annoying. But on that play, Thomas played very well.

Seriously....if it wasn't for the draw plays and the short dumps to the RBs out of the backfield, San Fran would've had about 50 yards of total offense. I think they must have been reading your camp reports, Kaylore, because you constantly made a point about how weak we looked vs. the draw in particular.
Damn you.

He also said Warren looked great. I'm guessing it's Jimmy Kennedy starting next to Adams come the season opener.

Would this be a good example of taking something out of context? ;D
