My hopes will be high but I also know the reality of pre-season. I always want to see the 9ers knock the Broncos (dad’s team) in the dirt.

I want to see a nice play action pass on the first play deep bomb to Lelie for a touchdown, man I would love to see Shanahan’s reaction after that. But no doubt I’m going to see Hicks up the middle.

Main things I want to see is good blocking up front, Smith with time to work and good tackling.

Main things I don’t want to see penalties and turnovers.

GO 9ERS!

so i am listening to morning radio in CO, and of course it is all from the broncos perspective, but it sounds like A LOT of people are still really upset about how last season ended for them. Even heard revenge mentioned a few times from the broncos fans..cant really say winning a preseason game is the same as us keeping them out of the playoffs last year, but whatever makes them feel better.

Do teams typically put their #5 WR out on the field for the first play of the game? LOL

im so fired up for some bronco ball I already made my first bet of the season with a niner fan buddy of mine

loser paints his toenails winning teams colors and has to keep them painted through next weekend

man if i lose im going to hear some laughs with red and gold toenails in my MMA classes

bet is based on the halftime score.

It sounds like 9er fans are just as excited about this game as we are!

I just have to laugh at the Lelie hopes and dreams, though! Who knows, maybe Lelie will find a good fit there! Has he even been practicing? Eh, don't answer...I really don't care! Ha!

I'll withhold my thoughts on what I'm looking forward to seeing. No need to jinx things!! :welcome:

I want to see execution, no 3 and outs.

I want to see no penalities.

No injuries for anyone except cutthemdown.

I seem to remember reading an article recently that stated Assley was 2nd WR. I dont recall where this was though. Sorry.

Actually Nolan committed to getting Ash more touches since it was his old team. Kind of a nice move by the coach to allow a player that opportunity. Whether Ash can run with it is a whole nother story.

I think thats about all anyone could ask out of a preseason game.

Oh, add 'no turnovers' and I think that about wraps it up

Second string....not #2 WR overall. Big difference.

More touches is one thing....STARTING him is another, especially considering he's been hurt and hasn't even seen the practice fields much. He'll be lucky to see first half action, but will probably be out there a lot in the second half.

I expect Cutler to hit HIXON for an 80 yard bomb on a boot leg that goes 95 yards in the air.

2nd play from scrimmage Henry 60 yard TD run, after D holds SF to -10 yard drive

3rd play, WR Reverse option play where HIXON throws an 70 yard TD to himself, HIXON, this time after D forces a -15 yard 3 & out drive.

I think the D will improve as the preseason progresses...

I think that is about how it will go,

Lelie was 3rd string in thelast article I read.

Here's their current depth chart. According to this, he's the second stringer on the QB's left side (behind D. Jackson). Interesting if true considering it would be the opposite side of the field from where he lined up in Denver.

There is always going to be a HIXON on the team, Name may change but expectations won't.

Sarcasm man! That is why I love the HIXON joke.

HIXON should finish the night with 486 yards, 8 TDs in 2 quarters of work.

Hixon will be lucky to end up with 20 yards on 3 catches in 5 attempts.

NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE between HIXON and Hixon, 2 different guys in my mind.

I want to see no penalities.

No injuries for anyone except cutthemdown.

Too bad none of you rocket scientists caught the context this time:

Your right, 80 X 8 = 640 if the O starts on the 20 every time.

My bad.

* dont forget to mention, he will opt not to use pads...ya know, help even the playing field out of pity for the opposition - the benevolence of HIXON knows no boundaries!

So Hixon finished with 21 yards on 1 catch and at least 2 attempts. Looks like I was on the money not counting number of touches/attempts.

I have no stats for HIXON though.
