Did anyone watch it? BVP, you know the guy who "has moxie!" and "is just a football player OMG!" Anyway he was 1-7 for eight yards. I looked down and saw that he had a reception for eight yards. Did he complete his only pass to himself?:~ohyah!: Anyone who's seen it, let me know.

I saw a handful of kids with Van Pelt jerseys at camp this year.

With only 32sec’ left, and the Texans down by only 1 point:
Houston 1-10 from their own 22-yard line.
B.Van Pelt pass short middle to B.Van Pelt to HST 30 for 8 yards.
Great success!

He was absolutely horrific. I am a BVP fan, but he just isn't an NFL quarterback. He has not progressed at all since he was drafted. He really should try to be a RB, TE, or safety.

I miss BVP, just for the comedic effect of his brash statements. "I'm gonna lead some team to the playoffs." Baahhaaaaahahahahahaaaaha!

Awww, come on guys. Sure, he's not an NFL-caliber QB, but he was entertaining and I, at least, couldn't help but pull for the fella.

He still can't throw worth a ****. He did have a nice run or two. I agree that he'd be better off with a position switch!

He would best serve the football universe by becoming a recruiter for CSU.

He's hilarious to watch. And yes, he did complete a pass to himself. Bad pass, had it swatted, ran up and grabbed it in the air then made a nice gain. Sweet!

I went to this game and yes, Van Pelt threw a ball up in the air and ended up running it and grabbing it himself. Van Pelt was good at running in the game, but that's about it. The Texans seemed to have a great rush defense but got picked apart by Rex. The Texans offense looked eerily familiar to the Broncos from years past, they just could not convert inside of the red zone.

BVP had one bootleg where he was under no pressure and the TE dragging underneath about 2-3 yds beyong the LOS with loose coverage. It's a typical Kubiak play call you guys have seen countless times. BVP flung it down at the receiver's feet. If a QB can't complete that pass, he really shouldn't be playing in the NFL.
The pass he completed to himself was another situation of not thinking. By catching the pass, he kept the clock running when the Texans were out of timeouts and trailing by a point. He should have tried to swat the ball to the ground rather than trying to catch it.
You can get away with that type of stuff if you can run like Vince Young but BVP is no Vince Young.

In the 2005 finale, after we mangled Brees' shoulder and it was apparent Rivers was not yet ready, we pulled away and put BVP in the game.
I was psyched explaining to my buddies that former Giants LB Brad Van pelt's kid was the Broncos backup. My buddies and I shook our heads in amazement at how bad he looked. Every pass was awful; thank God the Chargers had nothing that day, though the game was meaningless to us.

Those stats were the same as Bret Farve's. Maybe BVP is going to the HOF too???

Watching that game was like watching Denver Lite. I screamed "Nintendo!" at least 3 times.
