...Vince Young gets benched for a game.
"Unspecified team rules" my ass. He's the only reason to watch this game at all.

That's what I was thinking. Just a simple way to keep him out of the game without having the NFL moanin' about teams not taking the preseason serious.

Does it make any difference? All he would be playing is 5 to 10 plays anyway - big deal. I doubt Cutler will see many reps this first game either.

Totally agreed but that's what makes it so comical that he's being punished by not playing in this game. See if they're so quick to suspend him once the season happens.

Holy cow, the Washington Redskins can't protect on passing downs for crap. That O-Line is going to get Campbell killed.

But Campbell is looking really good out there, better than last year for sure. The combination of drops and horrible protection is laying a big turd on his play though.

I know Young won a lot of games for them last year but I think teams will catch on to him this year and he won't do that good with or without the Madden Curse. The Titans have nobody else on the team and his passing was horrible last year.

That's the same thing I've been saying for a while. There's a reason teams like NE who are known for their great coaching staff could shut him down like they did last season. At least Vick was a superior athlete, Vince is just a good athlete and very athletic for a QB. If Vince is going to be a great QB, it'll have to be on his arm. 1 dimensional QBs are too easy to gameplan against.

I don't know how many games Young won. I know the Titans won a few. While
Young's passing was not so good, Henry's running was sterling. If one individual
had anything to do with wins, I would think Henry's name should pop up first.
IMHO.

That can't be true, Vince was responsible... he's just a winner... ESPN told me so.

By the way, did anyone see Chris Henry running last night? He looked like he was actually pretty decent, ran hard. If only he had a hole to run through...

Reminded me of an old Bob Newhart skit.
He took the ball as a RB and cut toward the line, where he skidded to a sudden stop.
"A HOLE!" he exclaimed. "That's a real HOLE!" :o
He couldn't go anywhere that time, either. He was too much in shock. Hilarious!

Vince is already a better passer and more decisive than Vick. He's just got to get adjusted to the NFL.
Plus, he doesn't like to kill dogs.
I think he'll have a much better career. He reminds me a lot more of McNabb, rather than Vick.
He won't overcome the Madden curse this year though, which has already started! ;)

Vince showed some flashed of decency but still fell apart when they had to beat NE to make the playoffs and still only managed a 50% completion rating. Especially for a QB that can run like he can, he should have a much higher completion percentage since he doesn't have to throw the ball away as much as others such as Leinart would. That being said, you do have to realize the quality of the Titans WRs though so they probably didn't help his cause.
