Did anyone see or hear Jim Rome yesterday ... they was talking about WHy the titans stopped pac man , and one thing that kept coming up was the fear that one of the Wrestlers in TNA planned to do a "shoot" on pacman and really try to hurt him ... something like Jeff Jarret a wrestler who used to be part owner of TNA is realated to the guy that was shot in the making it rain deal and maybe they lured pacman to do this bit in TNA with hopes of someone hitting him with a real move to hurt him and revenge the vegas deal , like it was writen about in a few newspapers .... anyone got a link or anything ??

considering Jarrett himself is training Pac Man to wrestling that's a untrue statement

this is all about Pub, TNA is getting their @sses kicked by WWE at every turn, this is just a ratings stunt like Urlacher,Damon,Fairplay & Aj P before them

I don't watch TNA but from things I hear about and read online they seem very bush league and always try to latch on to the "hot" thing at the moment to give themselves 15 min of fame to bring in more fans. Pacman is the same as the guys you mentioned above and it doesn't seem like it working for TNA.

It's working wonderfully for TNA. They're loving the publicity that's coming from PacMan and his can he or can he not wrestle. I'd say there was probably never an intention for him to actually wrestle since he had been saying since the beginning that he wasn't gonna wrestle. I think TNA is just hyping this up as big as they can, creating as much controversy, and then gonna cash in on it with a single pay-per-view. If these things are as expensive as they used to be in the old days, they can definitely make it worth their while to get the publicity and get people to pay and see what PacMan actually does. He can go out there and dance around in a skirt but at that point, you've already bought the program. They've got your money.

Ya like they say "Learn how to work kid!"

It's a "work" to get people to purchase the Pay-Per-View.

It's a shame that Pac-Man's ego ruins his life. This kid was a punk in HighSchool, WV... what was Jeff Fisher thinking when he drafted him?

I generally like Jeff Fisher but they have no sympathy from me on this one, they knew what they were getting into.

I wonder if this violated hes NFL contract?

And going into a strip club to get something to eat doesn't fly

About 3/4 of the way down. I guess it didn't work that well to attract more viewers.
--Tons of press asked for credentials to this show. ESPN had asked for a feed for Sports Center as well. Obviously, with no Jones, all would be off.
--In what has to be a disappointment, TNA drew a 1.0 rating last night for the show that had as much pub going in as any they've done.

Exactly. People have heard of the WWE, but the average Joe probably doesn't know there is another brand of pro wrestling. Now, the sports world knows...

Wasn't it Bud Adams that forced Pacman on Fisher, just like he did with Vince Young?

I did'nt want to start a new thread but the Woody Paige article in Sundays paper was very well written and really makes you feel great empathy for the victim in all of this Tommy Urbanski. The irony that he was a small time wrestler in Vegas and pacman signed to wrestle. I really hoped that those guys would have gotten alittle rough with him that would have been great. Pacman is a punk and always will be a punk !!
