Good player, but would be a weak side backer.I would put my money on a WR like Sweed or Doucet.

I think that Rivers could play strong side, but then again that's just a waste again - using a first on a SLB.

I'd like either of those two receivers. I'd like a lot of options this year.

It'll be interesting to see the season progress. :)

Hey Req

What type of WR do you think Denver needs with Javon and BM? I'm not against another big WR but, wouldn't it help Denver more with a smaller faster guy?

I say trade something and move up to get Desean Jackson from Cal.

I'd prefer a guy like Hall, Douglas our Doucet with speed to burn, and I think that's more of the area we're looking for, but I won't discount guys like Sweed, etc. from my mock drafts just because I feel we need a speedster. I like Sweed a lot, but I think he has to step up and prove himself this year more than ever.

He's never had a 50 catch, 1000 yard season - and I'd like to think he'd have that ability this year to do that. Spotlight is on him. I think that Sweed is a first-round talent, but he might experience a fall like Dwayne Jarrett did this year because he might not run very well. I wouldn't be surprised if Sweed ran around a 4.6; and that'd hurt him.

Jarrett put up all-star numbers with USC and was a second-round guy, but ran slow and went down boards. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but I'd really be surprised to see Sweed (who probably isn't in Jarrett's world as far as talent goes) if he doesn't do extremely well this season to be a first-round guy. Especially if some underclassmen declare. He's borderline.

But yeah, I'd prefer a fast guy - but if there's a complete receiver on board, you can't discount them either. If Marshall doesn't get on the "plan" soon, I'm going to be worried.

Req I know that he is a Husker but what are your thoughts on Maurice Purify? I know he had some run ins this offseason but I kind of think he is past that. He came on late last year and I think he is going to have a even bigger this year with Keller at QB. Have you watched anything on him at all, just wondering.

That would be fantastic, but its wholly unrealistic as Rivers will be off the board far before then.

I would not be surprised if we went LB in Round 1, we almost tried to replace Gold in this past draft with Timmons but the Steelers got there first.

I've seen a lot of people having Dan Connors from PSU going to the Broncos. He could be a good fit IMO.

On a side note, I thought that Oher was an OG not OT? And where is Barry Richardson the OT from Clemson? He is gonna dominate this year and show why he belongs in the top 20. Guy is impossible to get around and dominates in the run game.

Chiefs will probably be lucky next year. There are about 10 offensive linemen that will be better pros than Levi Brown in next year's draft.

I think that he can rise, and Keller will help him. He was a JUCO guy, right?

I remember seeing him only play against Texas, and he had two long grabs and a touchdown, so I don't know much about him.

I do know that he's suspended for the first game because of some bar fight/drunk driving thing, so that might hurt his stock a little bit.

Obviously I like his big frame, he has Brandon Marshall type size from what you can see, but I haven't seen enough of him, besides the Texas game to make a legit report on him.

I've seen some forty estimates as low as 4.65 (Wright's site) for him and if he runs that it's bad.

If he has a good year, he could rise, but I'm still guessing he's a mid-rounder.

Maybe I'll keep an eye on him, but I don't watch many Nebraska games. I have a die hard friend here, a great friend - and he never misses one (will go to a bar to see them or anywhere with expanded college game day) so maybe he'll keep an eye out for me.

Richardson as a Chief would make me cry. I think he's going to go in the first-round, perhaps top fifteen if he does really well this year. Way better than Levi Brown.

A fun Read at this point, but if the Falcons draft higher than 5th I would be surprised let alone 13th!

Interesting that there are NO safeties in the first round except an underclassman in Phillips. Could be a bunch of Juniors declare again this year.

Hmmm. I thought the Broncos would be picking at #32 next year. ;D Anyway, I want Sam Baker. Baker/Cutler would make a nice ten year dynasty.

That's what I'm expecting. I'm going to get to work on my final board for this year (Req's Players to Watch) and I might just make a special category for junior safeties aside from the regular 30-45 guys I try and keep tabs on throughout the year.

This safety senior class is bull****.

DJ Hall love this guy how high do you see him climbing draft wise?

Wouldn't be surprised to see him make a Reggie Brown climb up to the boards if he performs this year and does well at the combine. I think he's pretty similar to Brown, probably will time a little faster though. I think he could go as early as the top ten selections in round two.

You know I have to jump in when you're talking Texas Football!!! Limas Sweed will have a great season this year. With McCoy being a year more experienced I think he will realize his go to WR. I'll go ahead and call it now. Sweed will have 65 catches and 1100 yards this year. He'll probably have around 12 TD's as well. When the draft rolls around he'll similar to Jarrett. I think Sweed is probably in the 4.55 range. If he cracks a 4.4 he'll go first round.

The guy I can't wait to see out of UT is Charles. I understand he's added about 10 lbs and is still lightning quick. Couple that with Young being in the NFL now and I think you could see Charles run for 13-1500 yards!

Yes, I think that McCoy will be a lot better this year, and that'll help Sweed. I'm excited to see Jamaal Charles too, but I think he'll stay for a senior season. He has great speed, 4.4 (range) with being 6'1 - 210 pounds he has the perfect size for the NFL. However, I think there are a few seniors ahead of him, and there are a lot of solid juniors. If he came out this year, he might slip somewhere into round two or round three, if he waits until next year, he could be a top fifteen guy.

Texas has a lot of nice prospects coming around, as usual. ^5

Yeah he was the juco guy that got in trouble. Not sure about his speed, but he does seem faster then that. He played pretty good against Texas and caught the game winning TD against A&M that was just sick.

I think he uses his size well.

Just say No to WR's under 180lbs. In most cases they can not take the hits at the next level.
