Tonight on HBO they are going to start their "Hard Knocks" series with the Chiefs, is anyone going to watch? I'm going to check it out to see how far KC will fall this year. I don't see any great players on their team right now. Tony is very good, but not as good as he used to be and he needs someone to throw him the ball.
I know this is wrong, but I just want Herm just to loss it on Camera and just go on a rant and make one of the players cry!!Hilarious!

I'll probably check it out for curiosity's sake. But I'll probaby end up feeling like I do when I lurk at chiefsplanet, dirty, and then change the channel.

I don't have HBO any more, but if I did, I'd watch. I just like anything football, and seeing some behind the scenes is always fun, even if it's KC.

I'll check it out. I have a gut feeling that says that camp was not nearly as good as Bobo would have us believe.

The show was pretty good. The Chiefs suck! And I think they have a couple of players that have a little sugar in the tank.
Having been a big fan of the Baltimore edition, I was pretty disappointed by the Dallas one. I'm loving this one so far, but obviously I'm more than a little biased. The Pollard dance was quality. It was also fun to hear Gunther and Krumrie scream everything at the Chiefs defense that I've been wanting to for the past 7 years.

Dave Campo was hilarious for the Cowboys edition.
Herm isn't disapointing so far.
I wasn't big on Croyle to begin with but he looks raw....

Show was really good IMO. Thought they would focus more on the QB battle, but nope.
Turk looks really good. Extremely quick for his size

I actually thought it the show quility was not as good as the previous couple . More of NFL Film production BS then the HBO Hard Knocks of the past.

I watched the first half last night and thought it was a bit slow and the pace should've been picked up a bit. Later today I'll watch the rest of it and see how it went.

I don't have HBO any more, but if I did, I'd watch.
That reminds me of a DirecTV scam I used to pull ALL THE TIME. Not a "scam" really, but they always ran ads encouraging you to manage your account online .... So, between 1999 and 2005, I would sign on to my DirecTV account, add a premium Channel group, say, Showtime or Starz, and then remove it from my account the next day. Thus, they charged me just 39 cents for that Channel for that day. It worked great for a long time - then finally they started requiring 30 days with every addition.

There was also another scam I found out about unintentionally a couple years back, maybe July 2005. We moved around our living room furniture and I had to unplug the DirecTV box from the phone line. Anyway, a few weeks later I ordered College Football ticket, we had a couple movies too ... but they never showed up on our bill! But the college games kept coming every week.
Finally I figured out that, your box will permit pay-per-view items to go through if you order them with the remote control ..... BUT: They can't bill you for those purchases until your box telephones the main number and generates your bill. This one was still working this Spring according to my ex sister-in-law.
You're welcome.

You call a show HardKnocks and then show the Chiefs. Just do a special on John Lynch. That's hardknocks. If I want to see pillowfighting there is always the Playboy channel. This is like watching a Richard Simmons excercise video compared to what you see at Dove Valley.

If you do this random channels will stop working over time until have none. What you need is someone that has the hardware to program the card that comes out of the box.

Saw it. Good comedy. Just shows me that there is absolutely no comparison between Herm and Shanahan.
Frickin hilarious watching Herm run up dem stairs getting himself pumped for TC, then seeing King Carl whine about LJ's holdout.
Oh. I about busted a gut when they showed the first coaches meeting with King Carl talking about the Hunt trophy, then showing their last moment of glory, only 38 years ago.

The title "Hard Knocks" has never been more appropriate than this season with KC. Although I'm a little surprised HBO would want to do their show with a rebuilding team, seems like covering a contender would be more exciting. I guess there's a lot more potential for blow-ups and drama though, especially with a loose cannon like Herm at the helm.

Too bad none of the WR's they showed dropping passes will be anymore than the #5 WR's. #17, #14, and #18 dropped passes.
These are KC top WR's this year
#87-Kennison
#82-Bowe
#80-Webb(showed him making a good catch on the sideline in Hardknocks)
#81-Hannon
Hell Rod Gardner might even beat out Sammie Parker

And you know how to do that? Actually, avoiding being billed after unplugging the phone line was already close to the line in my ethical universe ... messing with hardware definitely crosses the line for me.
The other "scam" though ... using the DirecTV online service to turn premium channels on and off for just a day at a time ... that was classic. They actually ran promos back then encouraging you to manage your account online. I "managed it" alright. I remember Gladiator debuted on Showtime in 2001 ... cost me 39 cents for one day of Showtime. In fact, I still have the VHS copy from that very day (which I use for private exhibition only ;D)

I think preseason is a better indicator than a show that determined to show the young QB's only bad day of camp...

A team with KC's talent wouldn't have to rebuild, if it played in the NFC. KC has little to no chance of making a push for a long playoff run. Not talking smack, just being realistic. You guys have to start getting more young talent. Corner are old, QB is average, the best players in your o-line have retired, and the WR's are old or unproven.
I bet that Al Davis also says that this isn't a rebuilding year for the Raiders. Noone wants to tell the press,"We are rebuilding this year, so don't expect too many wins."

CB is not a problem right now. It's depth that concerns most. QB has yet to be seen(Croyle), OL(especially RT and depth) are a problem, and WR's are being redone. Webb, Hannon and Bowe are either first or second year players who will show what they can do this year.
The defesne looks to be close to complete. The only place KC is not young is at OL and CB. I expect Herm to take get new players in these spots in the next draft.
I agree though it is a transition year. It's exciting to see what the young guys get out there. I expect our team to be more lively and have much more intensity then in years past.

The chiefs defense is returning to 90's form. It really depends on their o-line, WR, and QB play this.

Probably because KC's camp will be the one filled with the most questions. Think about it. A lot to film about.
-Priest coming back
-LJ holding out
-Bowe hold out
-QB battle
-Boomer moving to FB
-Allen's DUI concerns
-Teams location in River Falls
-Turley coming back
-Of course the rookies and how they'll do
I think Hard Knocks is a better show than I thought it would be. They need to do this show every year IMO. AFC one year, NFC the next
