I was just wondering, based off the fact of being worried about our WR situation?
Per ESPN:
Jacksonville Jaguars: Reggie Williams started nearly every game as a rookie in 2004. He's been sliding down the Jaguars' depth chart ever since.
Now, he might be on his way out of Jacksonville.
The former first-round draft pick, selected ninth overall, was listed as the No. 5 receiver on the team's depth chart released Tuesday. It was a strong indication the Jaguars have nearly given up on Williams after three disappointing seasons.
"It seems so simple, but somehow it hasn't been simple," first-year receivers coach Todd Monken said. "It should be that simple: play your [butt] off, get in the right spot, catch the thing and we'll go from there. But for some reason, that's been hard."
Jaguars receiver Ernest Wilford sprained his left knee during practice Tuesday and had to be helped off the field.
The team called the injury "minor" and said he was expected back later in the week, but Wilford was scheduled to have an MRI exam

Sounds like some of the problem is his lack of playing his arse off. No thanks!
I thought Shanny was high on Reggie when he came out.
Drafting WR is such a crap-shoot. Burning a 2nd on Walker was a brilliant move by the FO.

IIRC, Reggie was one of Shanahan's targets in the '04 draft.

He must be a serious headcase because he did show some signs last year. I don't think it's a matter of not having the talent or mentality to be an impact player (David Terrell), I think he's just a bit too non-chalant upstairs.

I'll take his 52 catches and 600 yards. Might not seem like alot but they had 2800 yards passing as a team. Didn't Manning do that in like 5 games or something?

That's what I was going to say. I thought he really liked him when he came out of college.

Something's wrong if your coach is calling you out like that. They must not think very highly of him as a person either.

Has anyone heard of a player that didn't work out with one team and then magically turned it on with another? I guess Eddie Mac, but then who? Generally speaking I think if a player isn't working out for a team, it's because there's something wrong the player and not the coaching - unless the organization is just terrible.

Ashley Lelei, er what a minute, um Marcus Nash, nope. You are right. The only player I can think of who wasn't working out and left only to turn it around was Chris Carter when he left the Eagles. That was more drug and personality though than it was talent.

i had him on my fantasy team last year so i paid attention to him (in other words i am an EXPERT)
he is the guy you are waiting for to break out all year
he is awesome when he feels like it (rare)
he is a waste of space when he doesnt (often)
he is a lazy ass getting by on his draft position ^5

At this point im almost ready to take a hobo for a ham samitch...We're gettin really thin on bodies out there and hopefully we've went through our string of bad luck...
The one good thing about this is it should be good for our depth as the young guys are getting alot of reps...
As far as R. Williams is concerned, for the right price,i'd give him a chance to compete...I mean it isn't offten players step-up with a change of scenery,(D.Terrel)but occasionally, the light does turn on for a few players...

As far as players that have worked out in new environments, Chris Carter and Steve Young come to mind. Of course the Bucs sucked then but you never know.

Let's just keep David Terrell.

I think he would be a great addition... if we had a spot for him. I think we have too many retreads on this roster at WR (Stokely, Morgan, Terrel) for a fit.

Do we really need another possession type big wr here???????
Don't we need a smaller speed wr way more.

Not really because the WCO offense that Shanahan runs perfers big WR that can go across the middle and make plays. So I would be surprised to see a "small" wr unless he in the slot. Beside stokely, and walker have enough speed to work the seams

I guess I'm one of the few that like Denver's WRs. Stokely has been a great find, Kircus can get open against anyone if he can catch the ball. Marshall has pro Bowl written all over him and Smith will be ready for the second half of the season. NOT to mention that Quincy Morgan has been impressive and pretty much has the KO job all locked up unless another up and coming WR Hixon can pry it away from him. Don't forget about Brian Clark....."Who?" you ask. Well Clark was claimed by the Packers off Denver's practice squad but Shanny liked him so much he cut someone from the team and put Clark on the active roster.
I do not see any problems at WR. There is some inexperience there but I see lots of talent. If Kircus doesn't get suspended Denver's receivers are going to surprise a lot of teams this year.

ummm, if Shanny can take a shot with Travis McGriff, he can take a shot with Reggie Williams...

Actually there are quite a few and especially at the wide receiver position who suddenly sees the light on another team.
Chris carter has been mentioned. You also have Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, Terrance Mathis, Joe Horn, and even Kennison.
That is doing a very quick research with defining no 1k receiving yards in original team and 6k career receiving yards.
