View Full Version : Rep Conyers: "three more and I'll impeach..."

We might be closer to impeachment than most of us thought. According to this report John Conyers (D-MI) is teetering. All he needs is a few thousand calls from angry Americans.

http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/24962

There is no shortage of capital crimes for which to nail Bush/Cheney. Heck, there's a laundry list so long it makes Clinton's blow job look innocent.

Help turn the tide. Call your congressman today and demand impeachment. Do it BEFORE the August recess. Make the phones ring off the hook. That's how to make the US government respond to the people.

Once impeachment starts it will be very difficult for Bush to start a new Mideast war.

Here is the Capitol switchboard number: 202 - 224 - 3121

Yeah, right.

When Clinton was un-leading this country I was in the military and couldn't say what I felt because he was the commander-in-chief. I've retired now and can speak my mind about his inaction and what damage he did to the country.

I don't know where you are coming from but I'd venture to say that you haven't served anything but breakfast at the Waffle House.

So take your pretentious wannabe attitude and shove it up your ass. You are 30 and retired. Don't disgrace the military with your lies.

Codeman -- is new to this board -- and has not seen my sharp criticisms of Clinton. I am an independent -- not a Democrap.

Clinton failed this nation and the world. He was granted the unique historical opportunity to lead by charting a new path after the Cold War ended -- and he flopped.

Bill turned out to be a weakling -- a coward. Totally without principles.

He failed to give firm direction to the US military. Bill should have informed the Pentagon that the resources then being squandered on missiles, aircraft carriers, and every weapon system under the sun now had to re reallocated to solve the pressing problems we face on this planet. And what were those problems?

At the top of the list:

1. The transition away from oil/coal to an abundant clean energy alternative -- Clinton should have given this new mission to Los Alamos, Sandia and the Lawrence Livermore Lab.

2. To lift the third world out of poverty -- which is the only humane way to solve the population crunch. When the status of women improves along with the standard of living couples have fewer children.

3. the protection of the global environment --

Clinton should have announced a new world agenda. The end of poverty and the protection of the global enviuronment was achievable. One of my former professors from Colorado State University, Dr Maurice Albertson -- who helped found the peace corps many years ago -- says we could lift the third world out of poverty for a mere $100 billion. We've already blown 5 times that much in Iraq!

You don't believe me? Check out Albertson's web site -- where he has documents for download laying out the blueprint: His village Earth concept and Operation Bootstrap:
http://www.villageearth.org/pages/About_Us/staff_volunteers.htm

Instead, Clinton caved in to the militarists at the Pentagon -- who want total domination of the planet. They wanted to weaponize space -- and Clinton allowed this research to go forward -- along with an accelerated nuclear weapons program.

Clinton prepared the way for Bush. He is just as guilty in my eyes. This is also why I oppose Hillary.

What impresses me are the quality of a man's thoughts -- and his level of awareness -- not the decals on his chest.

I grew up in a military household. My father was a career USAF officer -- a full bird Col in the OSI -- AF intelligence. The number two man when he retired.

My older brother graduated from the USAF academy and also completed a 25 year USAF career -- also reaching full bird status.

I know very well the military mind set. I am not anti military. But it is not the role or function of the military to make national policy.

We are desparately in need of visionary leadership -- and the military cannot provide it.

Those "decals" you are talking of are Medals. Many of the people that wear those Medals won them doing a job that many will not do (i.e. Bill Clinton). My medals are of little importance, but there are many of my brothers that have earned my respect due to their gallantry and dedication to the country. I don't think it's right for you, someone that has only looked at the military from the outside in. If you want to have some credibility, go join any one of the five armed services and take the oath that your dad and uncle did. Then I might have a little more respect of your opinion of what the military mindset might be.

I see, the people that shaped this country weren't good enough to do the job?

I am very familar with the oath you took.

The real question is whether you have forgotten half of it. You swore to defend the US Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic.

Your allegiance should be to preserving the US Constitution -- not supporting the criminals and thugs in our government who would destroy it.

The most insidious problem we face is the domestic threat -- not foreign enemies.

The neo cons manufactured consent for their program for world domination -- by manipulating the fears of the people. But of late people are beginning to realize we have been deceived. Where do you stand, Codeman? With the US Constitution (which gives Congress the power to declare war -- not the president)? Or with the neo cons?

How about showing me where it says in the constitution that the President was wrong in what was done?

Just to check my memory; did not congress give overwhelming approval for the current action? I seem to remember John Kerry saying, I voted for the war before I voted against it.

You seem to think that anyone that doesn't have your same beliefs are neo cons.

As for the manufactured information you are harping about, much if that information came from the Clinton Administration.

So Gafney, when are you forming your party to overthrow the U.S. government? some of the comments you are spouting seem to be pointing in that direction. You are currently claiming that the President, a legally elected individual, is a "domestic enemy". I'm sure that you might feel more at home in a country else where.

I'd guess that even though you claim to be anti democrat you will be backing Hillary in the next election. Should she be elected, you will be far the worse than what you are now.

You claim to be familiar with the oath that your dad and uncle took but it seems as if you don't have the ability to take that same oath. I would even go as far as to say that you would be a C.O. if there were a draft. I wouldn't even rule out you leaving the country to avoid service.

Is the U.S. perfect? No, but it is currently the best place to live in the world. If you were living abroad and spouting your anti government propaganda you would be imprisoned or executed by many of the countries currently opposing anything we do as a nation. I seriously doubt that you have the courage to stand up and spout your sentiment in Washington in front of the Congress or the Senate. It would be interesting to find out what would happen when you make the inflammatory statements about the U.S. President and administration, congress and the senate.

Yes, we know what happened. The Bush administration gave a private security briefing to the US Senate -- and stated that Saddam was very close to the capabilty to target WMD at the cities of the US east coast.

In short, the neo con bastards lied to the Senate -- just like Sec of State Powell lied to the UN. It was all fabricated. Lie on top of lie.

The yellowcake from Nigeria -- all lies. The IAEA exposed this lie after a fifteen minute google search. That's all it took -- but it took longer for the American people to figure it out.

In short, they lied us into Iraq and Afghanistan -- two nations that did not attack us -- and this makes our leaders guilty of capital crimes. They deserve the right to a fair trial. But the preponderance of evidence will lead to their conviction.

First however must come impeachment.

You are currently claiming that the President, a legally elected individual, is a "domestic enemy". I'm sure that you might feel more at home in a country else where.

Ahhh, the infamous "Love it or leave it" mantra used by the silent majority back in the early 70's against the protestors of the Vietnam war. Funny thing is, the protestors were right. Seems to me you'd be comfortable living in another country, one with a dictator that plays games with the constitution and considers that constitution as a mere piece of paper.

Is the U.S. perfect? No, but it is currently the best place to live in the world. If you were living abroad and spouting your anti government propaganda you would be imprisoned or executed by many of the countries currently opposing anything we do as a nation. Absolutely right it's the best place to live. Let's keep it that way. Given the opportunity to speak in front of Congress or the Senate I'd say it all in a second. It's my right, why would anyone be afraid to do that, to attempt to right a wrong? What would happen? Has this administration taken away our right to speak freely?

:bs: If it was secret how do you have the information? You are really reaching for something that isn't there.

In short, the neo con bastards lied to the Senate -- just like Sec of State Powell lied to the UN. It was all fabricated. Lie on top of lie.

Care to provide credible links to prove any of your comments? I think you are full of :bs: again.

The yellowcake from Nigeria -- all lies. The IAEA exposed this lie after a fifteen minute google search. That's all it took -- but it took longer for the American people to figure it out.

We all know that everything you can google is 100% pure fact! There are quite a few "facts" you can google that are nothing more than posts from boards such as this that are written by whacko nut jobs like you.

In short, they lied us into Iraq and Afghanistan -- two nations that did not attack us -- and this makes our leaders guilty of capital crimes. They deserve the right to a fair trial. But the preponderance of evidence will lead to their conviction.

That is just an opinion that those that have a problem with the current administration. Better than 50% of the problem we have is that those that provided the false information had an agenda different than that of the administration. Afghanistan was a correct move. Iraq ATTACKED us military planes patrolling the NFZ on numerous occasions, those attacks were an act of war. If there was evidence out there don't you think that there would be more than whacko's like you whining about it on the internet?

First however must come impeachment.

As above, if there was enough to convene a grand jury, they would be doing so. Once again you have nothing but speculation based on your personal beliefs and only have opinions for facts.

Similar to how current servicemen that have fufilled their obligations are now speaking out against Bush? Lawsuits over vets being denied some of the services promised, etc.

As a former serviceman yourself, why do you pimp a man who cut veterans benefits?

Those "decals" you are talking of are Medals. Many of the people that wear those Medals won them doing a job that many will not do (i.e. Bill Clinton & George W. Bush.)

Fixed it for you!

My medals are of little importance,

Then show us the real medals and ribbons, not the the cut and paste job.

Presidents in the Military but saw no action:
# James Madison
# James Polk
# Millard Fillmore
# Jimmy Carter
# Ronald Reagan - kept out of combat due to bad eyesight
# George W. Bush This hasn't been proved yet. They have classified his records. No way to determine if he ever fulfilled his obligation.

Presidents with NO MILITARY EXPERIENCE:
* John Adams
* Thomas Jefferson
* John Quincy Adams
* Martin Van Buren
* Grover Cleveland
* William Taft
* Woodrow Wilson
* Warren Harding
* Calvin Coolidge
* Herbert Hoover
* Franklin Roosevelt
* Bill Clinton
* George W. Bush

Fixed this too...

Is this true, tell me this is not true. How in the hell do they get away with this shiit? Where is the checks and balances. For what possible reason could a weekend warriors records be justifiably classified?

Ya know we are all just as guilty as Bush and his evil cronies for sitting back and letting all that he had done happen without so much as a peep until recently. What force caused the silence, especially in the media

This was brought out when Bush/Kerry were campaigning if I remember correctly. Bush had his records scrubbed by Gonzales when he was still Governor of Texas. The records have since been classified when Bush became President.

If anybodies service record should be public knowledge it would be that of your president. How is it over the top?

The Nazis staged their own 911 -- the Reichstag fire -- and then stampeded the German people by manipulating their fear.

Ditto America after 911.

Hitler never won more than 30-36 percent of the vote in an election. This is about the level of GW's support -- probably now around 30%.

Not to start another debate about Bush's service record, but there seems to be some dispute as to Bush's claim that he fulfilled his obligation to the ANG.

In some areas yes and others no. I do not trust their ability to sell anything to the public. They couldn't sell water to guy that was on fire. I do not trust their ability to conduct foreign relations. Having said that, I wouldn't care what administration was there, it's it not prudent to discuss relations with Syria, Iran, and so on. No one said this is Nazi Germany. And no one said Bush = Hitler.

But it is a fact that in 1933 a group of wealthy Bankers and industrialists in America attempted to stage a fascist coup to overthrow FDR. And guess what?

GW Bush's grand daddy, Prescott Bush, was involved in it. Prescott Bush provided financial support for this coup attempt. It failed -- thank God -- and later -- during WW II - the US government forcibly siezed Prescott Bush's financial holdings. Why?

He continued doing business with Hitler.

There are many things about the Bush family tree -- that make the flesh crawl.

I didn't miss the point at all. But like I said..his frame of reference is Nazi Germany. This has never been nor is it Nazi Germany. George Bush is not Hitler despite how much some of you want it to be so.

I think it goes to show how similar in their methods they were. You can in no way say that Bush has not used fear to implement whatever he has wanted, often times seemingly illegal processes. This quote was obtained by Gustave Gilbert, an intelligence officer and psychologist from Goering:

Gilbert recorded Goering's observations that the common people can always be manipulated into supporting and fighting wars by their political leaders:

We got around to the subject of war again and I said that, contrary to his attitude, I did not think that the common people are very thankful for leaders who bring them war and destruction.
"Why, of course, the people don't want war," Goering shrugged. "Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship."

"There is one difference," I pointed out. "In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars."

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Now that I have retired after 22 years, consider this my release of pent up bile. Anybody who don't like it, name your time, place, weapon and how many paces. Honor, Courage and Commitment.
