Most of the guys that post are mostly Air Force and in Kuwait. Kuwait has changed a lot since Kuwaitis have started acting like real pieces of crap. The base is cool though. Can you go downtown? Have you run into Ratboy?

Marines don't post because they are hugging a pile of sand and there is never anything out where they are except bad stuff.

It depends on what the Army guys end up doing. Rangers are like Marines only they get some kind of time off. The guys on the convoys just take abuse but the Fobbits do alright. Each rotation, branch, and job type is different.

I'm real thankful of the Marines and the Army for what they do...ratboy PM'd me awhile ago and wont be over here till the beginning of next month. Yea i went downtown with my wife, pretty cool i'm over here with her, i volunteered to be over here with her..was just in Qatar from Sept 06 to Jan. 07. anyways, downtown Kuwait city is really nice, the mall we went to was very americanized, had a Krispy Creme with freshly baked doughnuts they ARE as good as everyone makes them out to be. I didn't seem to find any of the locals to act like a-holes at all though i've heard they can be. Yea i can imagine marines and rangers not posting much while they're over here. What do you want me to do as far as getting a thread going??

I'm still thinking about it. Missing7 just showed up. I don't know. SOMEBODY has to know whose over here.

Right now I'm thinking of getting a fund raiser for the Red Cross to get those guys some Phone cards. We've got soldiers fresh out of the field who want to call home but can't because of whatever. The Red Cross would like to hand out phone cards to injured or distressed soldiers. Screwn wet naps. I am still working on that piece for them. I was just going to start writing letters.

I didn't know they had a Krispy Kreme in Kuwait.

If you get a chance to go "camping" the Kuwaiti go out into the sand and do whatever Americans do. They drop the Muslim pretense and just chill. I love the Arabic sense of humor. Dry as a dust storm.

I'm getting a sense that some of the vets that were over here don't want anything but to forget this place. I know I'm not talking about this when I'm done. It will be a closed book in my life. If you weren't there then you won't get anything out of me.

I'm in the FIFTH branch of the military. Contractors.

They have only lost 1,000 of us since this thing started and we are as disposible widgets. No long term benefits. No GI Bill. No long term cost for medical, dental or insurance. No lawsuits from exposure to lengthy exposure to bad peanut butter, arsenic water or depleted uranium.

The military love us because we are taking over everything. The military hates us because we are taking over eveything. (That's not true. KBR is taking over everything.) The Army giveth and the Air Force taketh away. The military doesn't seem to even know what they want half the time.

Watching this place unfold is amazing and horrfying. It's like being stuck in a puzzle factory. This IS Wall Street. This is Deadwood. Rod Serling is my roommate.

We've got our own chant and everything!
