Thought it would be fun to see what people think...

Please note: This poll is who you think will be our next president not who you want to win...

Also, say why you think your choice will win...

Right now Hillary has the polls, the money, and the momentum. It's Hillary's to lose and so far she hasn't done anything to lose it.

The latest Zogby poll has HR Clinton beating all GOP contenders:

Rudy Giuliani 41%
Hillary Clinton 47%

Fred Thompson 41%
Hillary Clinton 48%

Mitt Romney 38%
Hillary Clinton 48%

John McCain 43%
Hillary Clinton 45%

And in the Zogby Democratic primary poll HR Clinton is ahead of Barack Obama

Hillary Clinton 37%
Barack Obama 25%
Al Gore 16%
John Edwards 9%
Bill Richardson 4%
Joe Biden 3%
Christopher Dodd 1%
Dennis Kucinich 1%
Mike Gravel -
Someone else 2%
Unsure 18%

While for Zogby in the Repubican primary Unsure is the winner.

Unsure 25%
Fred Thompson 22%
Rudy Giuliani 21%
Mitt Romney 11%
John McCain 9%
Mike Huckabee 5%
Sam Brownback 2%
Duncan Hunter 1%
Ron Paul 1%

I probably should have included Al Gore, Newt Gingrich and maybe Bloomberg but Ron Paul stands no chance of winning the presidency, no matter what your opinion of him is... He's not going to win the Republican nomination and if he ran as an independent there's no way he'd beat both the Republican and Democrat candidates.

Remember this isn't who you want to win, it's who you think will win.

Unfortunately, Rudy G. Personally, I think he is a fraud. My vote today would go to Mitt.

That's a smart vote. Considering how irrational the current President is:

- "I see progress"

- "War is hard work"

- "We've got to stay the course" x 1000

- "Stay the course was never the strategy" x 100

- "I talked to god, and god told me to invade Iraq"

- "Sometimes money trumps peace"

- "I made it very clear to the Congress that the use of federal money, taxpayers' money to promote science which destroys life in order to save life is - I'm against that. And therefore, if the bill does that, I will veto it"

Now you'd vote for someone who thinks that people moved from Iraq in tribes all the way to South America, even though the church founded by it's racist sicko leader disproved that myth entirely!!

I don't like Giuliani one bit either....but I'm afraid he will probably get the nomination. Way too much name recognition to not nominate him when either of the 2 frontrunning Democrats have enormous name recognition.

I'm curious to see if one of the 2nd tier Republicans makes a surge... like Duncan Hunter. Thoughts?

Slight chance it could happen. Right now they have no one that can win the election. The problem is money wins elections so that's how you have look at them.

Whoever is chosen by ABC, CBS and FOX to represent the parties will make it seem very close. Then 19% of the total American public will all go out and vote by a margin of 80% for Ron Paul -- the "brand-new" electronic voting booths ran with green energy created from the composting remains of Peter Jennings' dead corpse -- will spit out the winner -- Hilary.

Kinda sad IMO

And reflective of how bad the field of Republican candidates is.

I mean, here you have a guy who never bothered to participate in the debates, therefore not giving the public an idea of his stance on various issues....and somehow he has become a front runner?!?

Further, many many many Republicans took issue with Clinton's little scandal.

And Thompson has long been known as a 'ladies man' himself (dont ask me why? I guess conservative chicks dig men with manboobs and jowels?)

...not to mention developed the reputation as a 'lazy' politician from his time in Washington. Validated this lazy stereotype by not even bothering to get involved with the debates. He probably thinks the field of candidates is so bad he is going to win by default. And he may be right! lol

sad times for the Republican party

Maybe the older woman would have kicked Bill to the curb, and cant understand why Bilary is so "wed" to the power plays of her political life?

In all fairness, however, I do think it may have something to do with the idea that older woman are not as comfortable with a woman being in the Whitehouse, whereas younger woman embrace the idea. I hate it when I feel compelled to be fair...

It was interesting that Obama was ready to meet with Chavez, Kim Jong Il, and
Castro at a moment's invitation. When Hillary got the question, it was "I'm not
going to jump into something that would just be used for propaganda purposes
by them, I would do a lot of advanced work with lower level envoys first to
set the ground rules." Shows Obama is rather naive when it comes to
international relations. Do we really want a president who will require a lot
of on the job training or do we want one who has been there, done that?

Not sure what you mean. Hillary has been in the public eye for 15 years now.
What you see is what you get. If people don't know the real Hillary by now,
they never will. What exactly are people going to see in her that they don't
already know about her?

*I see some good things about Hillabroom, just like I see some good things with nearly every candidate. Fact is though, I don't trust her. She reminds me of a gumby doll, possibly a chameleon. I think the problem with Paul is that noone knew who he was until a couple of months ago. I'm talking about the average Joe.

I would think that he could pick up some steam as we get closer if he can get his name and his positions out there. I really believe that he is the one candidate that's different and could start this country back in the right direction.

The right female? Maybe. Hillabroom? Not a chance in hell. Just commenting on the premise that there may be some in this country that would select a male over a female, just because. Don't think they aren't out there, and I'm guessing there are more women that won't vote a woman in than we'd think...dman
