AS MANY of you know my girlfriend Ashley and myself have found out we are going to have a baby....
Yesterday we found out the sex!
ITS A BOY!!!!

You enjoyed the first few sleepless months? I suppose I DID, but looking back it was awful and glad it's over! They're much more fun when they can talk back with sarcasm, belittle you and run away from you.

I've got so much to teach him... like play at another position rather than lineman! I'm thinking QB or Safety. Ha ha.
My girlfriend's brother bounced around on development teams in the NBA with the Kings and Cavs.
I'm bringing the football/wrestling genes, she's bringing the brains and basketball genes! I'm at about 6'4", 260, shes at about 6'0". Her brother topped out at 6'7".
I can't wait and i'm so stoked!

Great job. Congratulations! There is nothing I love more than having kids - sincerely. They make you want to scream sometimes, but they are SO worth it.

It's my girlfriend and I's biggest dream to have a baby one day. Congrats! I can only imagine how amazing it feels.

That's so funny. My boy was running curl routes at 12 months around the couch, and catching passes from 5 yards away! Can't start them to early.
Still cracks me up thinking about it.

The Wifey and I are going to the Dr.'s appt on Friday for the 1st Ultrasound. Not sure what sex it is, I am just hoping he/she is healthy!! Wish us luck..
This is going to be our first baby, do recommend finding out or waiting?

It helps to find out for buying clothes and stuff. That first ultrasound was something else. Life changing. Almost as powerful as the birthday.
But it'd be cool to wait and find out too.

Thanks bro! 27. The timing is perfect. We are both at great places right now in our financial careers and in our relationship. Ashley and I went a little out of order but I was planning on making that official anyways. Besides I just think about those that cannot have a baby... so in that light even if it wasn't technically planned, it isn't a problem at all. We both couldn't be happier.
Funny story: My favorite number is 27... I'm sure you can all imagine why(Atwater), I even switched the digits so I could wear the number as a offensive lineman!
Going into my birthday on May the 1st, I just knew that my 27th year of life was going to hold special things for me... I told myself this was going to be my best year yet! A little bit after I thought that, I got a promotion at work. Shortly after that my girlfriend told me that she hadn't received her, ahem, little friend. I told her we needed to get a test and she said she had already bought some and taken them... and it was positive!
She started crying because she thought I would be mad, or sad, or something else... I just starting laughing and looked up at the sky feeling so utterly happy and complete. I pondered back to that thought of this being the greatest year of my life... and it has all been true.
December 12 is the due date. Unfortunately i won't be able to make my SD road trip but hopefully my lil' guy will be here just in time for Christmas and a long playoff run. Super bowl? Ha ha, it would only put the cherry on top of what has already been a wonderful year for me!

Yeah I know... most of my college friends and everybody else call me by my last name which is Scottish and pronounced long O, HOGGE (rhymes with Rogue). Everybody has been saying baby Hogge this, baby Hogge that and I was in the middle of flurry of emails at work this morning when I posted on here about the sex of the baby being announced.
Of course after the fact it looks confusing and nobody even knows my last name on here! :thumbsup:
