Check this out...it's on eBay. Isn't he in jail? How sad. I don't think I'd ever part with my SB ring if I won one.

Well I think he was/is in jail, and I know I read somwhere that he did smoke crack. It's just a shame. I hope at somepoint in his life he will turn things around.

That is going to be one expensive ring at the end of this auction. Why are all the bidder's listed as "bidder1, bidder2, etc?" Usually there are people's account handles? I haven't used ebay lately did they change the policy?

They changed it because people would try to scam people into stuff when they had their handles on there. If you are the seller, you can see the names of the people, but no one else can.

I've got a nice little Bronco memorabilia collection going (nice to me, at least). This makes me salivate. But even if I had an extra $20K sitting around, I couldn't spend it on something like that (and stay married).

That's really sad, though. One of two things is going to happen: He's either going to die a young death; or he's going to someday ache thinking about the great life he pissed away.

Also, I think for an auction like this you have to be pre-approved before you can place a bid. I know they do that sometimes, not sure about this particualr case though.

Bidding is at over $10K, I think the ring retails for like $5,000.00.

I would not mind having that ring as well. I think a lot of players have a hard time adjusting to "civilian" life once football is over. It's a sad story. I like Tyrone Braxton a lot.

Yep, so do I. I have a lot of good memories from watching Tyrone Braxton. The interception he made in the 2nd quarter of the first Super Bowl win was huge! And I always thought he was a good fit, from a team standpoint. Everyone seemed to like him. I hope he gets his life straightened out.

I'll always remember his one and only pro bowl season in 1996. 9 Ints. He was a huge part part of our defensive turnaround from Shannys first year.

Hey - does anybody have any super huge pictures of both of the Broncos rings? I would like to make an avatar with them. Thanks.

Did anybody ever see these episodes? Where they good?

The ring sold for $20k. Man, if I had that kind of scratch laying around, I'd jump all over that. I'd love, absolutely love to have that ring.

If I got the ring, I'd repair it and then call the Broncos to see if I could donate it to their collection of stuff at Dove Valley.

But, that's just me and I do tend to dream alot...

PAt Bowlen should have bought it and given it back to Braxton, later when he straightens his life out.

The simpsons episode was decent although it was made when Wade Philips was our coach and Denver wasn't exactly the powerhouse team it is today.

The way i remember that episode Homer got an awesome new job with some guy who turned out to be a criminal, and while talking with his boss mentioned he wanted to own the Dallas cowboys.

At the end his boss bought the Denver Broncos for Homer.

Homer brings up that Denver sucks, Marge tells him owning the Broncos is a great thing and Homer tells her something about how Denver sucks.

The south park episode was lame and nothing really happened with the Broncos in the episode.

Not to be rude, but I believe you are wrong. The Simpsons Broncos episode came out after we had that chokejob against the JagWads in the 1996 playoffs (which obviously took place in early 1997).

Actually it was aired in Shanahan's second year as head coach (November 3, 1996).

The Jag's game was January 4th 2007. That's more than two months after the episode originally aired. That game kind of made the joke more true, though. :(

I agree he was a class guy on the field and the locker room. I know he married a white girl and she well, she was a REDHEAD!! Man, you gotta stay away from those redheaded freckled girls. She probably ruined him.

My bad, well at that point Denver still hadn't become the awesome team they are under Shannahan.
But my mistake on when the episode came out, i was only 11 at that time.

Just tell him FAVRE was lucky to get one ring. If we hadn't stumbled over JAX we would have steamrolled them in SB31 an our way to a three peat. From the looks of things they still wouldn't have figured out how to stop the toss/stretch play left ? LOL

What a shame Braxton and Atwater are both near broke and or in trouble.

I think he and a few other NFL players lost millions on some investment guy the NFL hooked them up with, I thought he was trying to sue the NFL to get his money back. Don't take it as fact, it's just something I thought I heard.

Hey, he was working for re/max in the Denver area. If you smock crack in this bad real estate market, you lost clients (and future ones) and then market sucks. It adds up to hawking. So sad.

We "ran into" Tyrone and some of his friends at a reception at Mile High a few years ago. I tried to strike up a conversation with him but he was "three sheets to the wind", and was only interested in getting his friends to join him at a strip club.
I think some players just don't do well once the loose the "limelight" status they once enjoyed!
