Foul call: obscene language on tank top of A-Rod's wife
July 2, 2007
NEW YORK (AP) -- The wife of Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez wore a white tank top with foul language on the back when she attended a game against the Oakland Athletics.
A common two-word obscenity ending with "you" was clearly visible when Cynthia Rodriguez, her 2-year-old daughter and an unidentified older woman took their seats Sunday in the players' family section at Yankee Stadium.
A front-page photograph Monday in the New York Post shows the back of the tank top with the obscenity printed in Old English lettering between the shoulder blades. The first letter of the first word is visible; the three other letters are intentionally blurred. The second word is 'You.' The paper's headline read: "F-Rod."
The Yankees had no immediate comment, team spokesman Jason Zillo said Monday.
According to the Post, the team's policy prohibits banners or signs that are not in "good taste" and also warns that security guards will eject any guests "using foul language" or "making obscene gestures." Zillo would not address whether the message on the shirt violated the policy.
In late May, A-Rod's marriage was front-page news when the Post published a photograph of him and a woman -- later reported to be a Las Vegas stripper -- at a Toronto hotel. The Post said the pair entered an elevator in the hotel and later went to a strip club.

I heard A-rod's wife's shirt had an expletive on it. Does anyone know what it said or have a picture of it?
Yes, I'm really bored.

No, I think they should both be criticized.
That being said, anyone have a picture of her in the shirt? LOL

That is one unattractive female. I suspect the shirt is in response to this common response upon seeing Mrs. A-Rod
"I can't believe A-Rod hitched his wagon to that ugly broad."

Sad part is...the latest stripper he was seen with is at least as manly looking as his wife. Apparently, that's the type of chick he's into.

Not really.....just speaking the truth. I find it comical when men go for chicks with the American Gladiator look.
I lost my passion for MLB years ago when talk of a strike dominated the news every day.

Can we maybe keep baseball games as one last place we can take our kids without subjecting them to this kind of stuff? Good lord.

I'm more intrigued but the violation of stadium policy and what George will eventually say. When the Yanks are in 1st place this crap doesn't happen. :)

Cynthia's F-word faux pas also may have violated Yankee Stadium policy.
The team's policy prohibits any banners or signs that are not in "good taste" and also warns that security guards will eject any guests "using foul language" or "making obscene gestures."
Still, when some fans let nearby security know about Cynthia's four-letter garment yesterday, nothing was done.
"It was noted by police and security," one fan said. "They were aware of it. I guess they didn't know what to do. I guess you don't kick A-Rod's wife out of the game."

Just like her husband.... No class
A-Rod lost all respect with me when he tried to slap the ball out of an opposing first baseman's glove who was tagging him... I think it was during the playoffs last year. It was such a bush league move.

Hence, FCUK. It's a popular, dare I say ubiquitous brand.
Leave it to the NY Post and ESPN to manufacture a story and blow it completely out of proportion.

It was the 2004 ALCS and he tried slapping the ball out of Bronson Arroyo's glove, then a pitcher for the Red Sox.
This year he's had a few glory moments, like calling for a ball while running between the Jays' 3B and SS and popping up from a slide at second with an elbow into Pedroia (on the shortstop side) to break up a double play. The later earned his team some retaliation from Mike Lowell, once when he ran over Cano in the basepath, and again when he didn't really do much to avoid Doug Mientkiewicz when running down the first base line. Unfortunately Doug was significantly injured on that play.

Yeah, but you tried to hit on that chick picking bottles out of trash cans in the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot after the game. ;D Well, that's what it looked like you were doing.
On the real though, I'd hit it too. Judging from the SI swimsuit picture, I don't see why people say she's ugly. Not a 10, but certainly not ugly.

Moron. They're blurred because they're legally not allowed to show the "f" word, plain and simple. It is NOT the European brand you guys are claiming. They already came out and said it was a shot at the local rags for the coverage of their marriage.....but whatever. Keep pretending it's one of the European ***C T-Shirts, even though you won't find that shirt on their site.

They're legally allowed to show whatever they want, there's this Amendment that protects the freedom of press, I think it's near the top of the list and stuff.
Also, the fact that you're either from or currently live in Boston makes anything you say about a topic remotely involving the Yankees completely suspect to me.
