Never had a problem working holidays, except Christmas. Time and a half is just too sweet. But, I don't have a family, etc. I'm sure it'll be different when I get there.

Work every holiday except Christmas and New Year's Day official times the club is closed. But at least I get treated to a 30 minute firework show every fourth of July that the club provides. one year a storm was on the way so a 30 minute show was compacted into 5 minutes it was crazy fun.

Xmas isn't even that bad. I used to hate working holidays but I'm not very senior at my company so I work holidays but I'm senior enough to start in the afternoon so I get Xmas morning off and start a trio in the evening.

I'm in Kuwait..no choice but to work unless it's my schedualed day off..holidays in the desert are just another day..though they have a bunch of stuff going on through out the day and i don't get paid extra or none of that.

Triple time on the night of the 4th here. Plus we'll probably do a steak dinner out at work that night, so it's all good.

I don't have a problem working the 4th, someone has to be around to put out the blaze if someone sets the hills afire with a stray firework.

Have to go to training on Thursday, so the interns have to cover my readiness docket for me. Which means that I've got to come in on Wednesday to prep the docket so they don't leave me with 20+ trials for the week after next. I need to move to civil law.

I spent some time in Pinedale last summer, nice town. They have a brewery/pub there with some pretty unique brews and they make a mean bison burger. Can't recall the name though.

Upkeep on a truck isn't cheap.

I'm working a few hours on the 4th. Lame ass. My girlfriend is too but we're both getting Friday off instead so its worth it, since we're moving into a new apartment.
