Has it been announced which teams will be wearing their alternate uniforms this year and when? Will the Broncos be wearing their orange alternates?

Doubtful.....Bowlen hates the color orange, I don't believe Shanahan likes them either, the players are spooked and superstitious about them...so I'd say off the cuff that the outlook is probably not good.
What they should do is wear them against a cake opponet just to get rid of the superstition with the players. I know if you held a poll, the fans would overwhelmingly vote the alternate the home jersey....but again, this organization seems to have put the color somewhere between on the backburner and out the door entirely (save for the pom poms in the stands that is ::) )

the broncos have to ask the NFL before the season what two games they can use alternate uniforms. (they can change pants whenever they want)
that should be coming up soon

If i remember correctly, we didn't alternate last year right? Like Hogan said, it doesn't seems likely that we will this year.

If you liked the retro look of that 2002 Thanksgiving game, you're gonna be out of luck as well. I don't have a link about it or anything but it's been widely reported that Shanahan told the players to take the jerseys home and that he never wanted to see those uniforms ever again (I could be wrong about the actual wording..but it was something along those lines I'm sure of it).

Good, don't bring them back.

Yeah, each time they've worn the orange..they lost a heartbreaker...i believe that game against indy in denver (when was it...2002 or 2003?) where vanderjagt kicked the pair of 50 yarders was played with our orange unis

that game against the colts (2003) was the 1st....the raiders snow game was the last.

I heard something different - that NFL Properties had made up an ALL-ORANGE alternate uniform - both jersey and pants, with the blue splash up the side of the pants to under the shoulder. I saw it on Broncomania. Don't know if we adopted it though .... I wish we would. Look at the Oregon Ducks and Cincinnati Bengals.
CELEBRATE THE ORANGE!

Militia .... to each his own. I love the yellow ducks, and the Bengals unis (except for the inexplicable off-color strip on the jerseys under the arm ... wtf??)
I think ONE game of all-orange would be a great event in Denver and would resonate around the league - a DAYTIME game.
Skip the orange top and white pants, but for ONE SUNDAY a year - go ALL ORANGE, Orange Sunday lives in Denver!
And Lynch, I don't have a link. It was last August when the Mane was down a couple days.

Well they beat Dallas in that Thanksgiving game so there goes that theory out the window. Although they were throwbacks and not alternates they did win in orange.

I loved that look SO MUCH, I'm gonna buy a DVD of that game from Atlas, just to look at the uniforms.

I love the retro unis (they still look good and aren't jinxed) and the orange alternates (which are jinxed) but I can also live without them. AFAIC, the Broncos can wear lavender and hot pink if they'll just go undefeated in them.

Personally I'm fine with the current uniforms, but I still prefer the retro uniforms from the '80s. I don't know if it's just because those were the uniforms they wore when I first started rooting for them as a kid. Actually, I prefer the old school look to the current uniforms of most teams in most sports.

Also, the current logo is ok, but I would be very much in favor of switching back to the old logo, even with the rest of the uniform exactly the same as it is now.
We go old school late 80's/early 90's uni's or we don't wear orange at all.
The swoosh orange jersey's are jinxed.
