View Full Version : OT: So it's my baby's Due Date...

Hey all. My wife just hit her 40th week of pregnancy today and officially hit the due date, but no little one to speak of yet.
We spent the day out at the movies, taking long walks, and eating spicy food at Chilli's. We're so excited to add a little one to our family.
We're moving from here in Dallas to Connecticut in 5 weeks and changing jobs so any well wishes would be appreciated.
Also, if there's any advice from anyone for a new parent I'd love to hear it. Thanks all

Good luck. My wife was a full week late. She ended up giving birth to a teenager.
Advise? Start drinking more :)

actually start drinking cheap liquor. It'll do the trick and you'll need the cash for diapers.
Just kidding. All I can say is: Get ready for the wildest ride of your life!

Teach the baby to sleep and eat on schedule. Good luck on that. ;D
Seriously though, invest as much time as possible in your children. They are the greatest thing that will ever happen in your life.

Wishing you all the best on the arrival of the little one PH. You'll never regret any moment of kindness, caring or love you share with your child. It's an amazing adventure complete with moments of sheer joy and complete terror. And remember, it's been said the first one will grow up in spite of the parents....
We'll be waiting for the update.

Indoctrinate the child in the ways of the Broncomaniac. Everything else will take care of itself.

Is it your first? 1sties are usually up to a week late (we lucked out and Mira was born the day before her due date). We went out to dinner the night before and my wife downed half a glass of wine....I downed many.....
Either way relax and congrats!

Finkle, this is our first. I'm afraid it will end up taking some serious time, but we've been having some "signs" today, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. As to the Broncomaniac indoctrination, it's already begun. We've got a Bronco's blanket, we're looking for a Bronco's pacifier, we've even got some clothes. The tough thing is we're moving up to Pats country, but this kid will represent the west well!
Thanks all, I'll update when he/she comes along.

Oh, I feel for you. Late is the worst! Especially when it's your first. You're so excited, can't wait.....then the due date passes and you want to kill someone.
Best wishes for a new baby soon and an easy labor and delivery for Mom.
