Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Jets RB Curtis Martin (knee) re-worked his contract, giving the Jets $2.4 million in cap relief, according to an NFL source. Martin was scheduled to make $3.25 million this season, but he is now scheduled to make $820,000 under the re-worked deal. Also, Martin agreed to void the 2008 and 2009 seasons in his contract.
