Anyone see the interview with Marcus Thomas on the NFL network? He is one big boy, and did a nice job in the interview process. Talking about how he made mistakes, and was blaming everyone but himself. Bates said it is not of matter of if, but of when he will become the starter.. Anyway, I saw it last night, I wasn't sure if it was old video, or something new.

I am excited about the upside of the DT's this season.

I saw the interview. The guy has either learned a lesson or learned how to talk a good game. He sure seems to be aware of the opportunity Shanahan has given him and says he knows he's living with two and half strikes already. I hope he turns out to be one of the rare ones who can forego the nonsense long enough to enjoy a career.

I hope so .... I wish I had seen the interview! I guess there's a 20% chance it'll be included in "Total Access: Week in Review."

BUt to find out I'd have to sit through 60 minutes of Rich Eisen and Rod Woodson .... I dunno if it's worth it. :oyvey:

He's going to really do well. I think everything that happened to him is a blessing and will make more mentally committed.

did you see the size of his fingers? For him to get a ring you would need to pass a silver dollar through them...

The fact he's getting so much competition at his position is really going to help his future development. If Warren is not healthy this year the Broncos won't have to limp through the season because of him. If some of these mediocre guys develop an edge in the trench Bates will push and continue.

I think these guys as a team are going to play better than they would appear on paper to play.

when the lady interviewing asked him what will she see if she comes back to interview him after 3 yrs and he told 3 SB rings.. i liked what he said. but if we even get 1 i will be happy for the team/city and him.

i think he knows what he did wrong and what he can accomplish with this team. i am glad i adopted him.

The good thing is with Adams and Kennedy on board he can learn the system properly instead of being chucked in at the deep end this year.

I hate Woodson. He is such an arrogant prick. I hope he dies.

I love Rich Eisen.

Word, he's one of the few guys that talk NFL that I like.

I like Rich Eisen as well. But I agree on Rod Woodson. That puke is annoying as all get out. He is almost as bad as Brian Gumble, who by the way never found his Big Boy Voice for calling the games.

For a change, our D-line could be a force to be dealt with.

Denver's D-line hasn't been a force since the mid 80's when Denver had Fletcher, Mecklenburgh and Rulon causing havoc.

UGH. I cannot stand Eisen. Every interview he does is all about him trying to crack lame jokes and see how far he can stretch an analogy. It's painful. The interviewee is always like "Heh, uh, yeah, right Rich". Agony!

I thought it was a good report. I loved the question about if they come back and talk to him in three years what they will find "I hope you will find three Super Bowl rings"!! Also they sounded so surprised when Shanahan said that if he does not live up to the standards he will be cut. Should that be a surprise to anyone? We take risks but are also very willing to cut and run.

Coaches may like the guy & everything, but the simple fact that the team is signing every DT that looks like a mid-sized SUV with feet would seem to confirm they aren't entirely discounting his...umm...darker side.

I love his HUGE upside, but I'm glad Denver is taking precautions if he doesn't succeed. His talent, alone, is possibly greater than any at the DT's position. Big Money is the only comparable talent coming out of college. Now will Marcus Thomas come to fruition? We shall see.

what the hell happend to TD? I hardly ever see him on anymore.

I'm sure that Marcus will get every opportunity to nail down a starting spot, but the truth of the matter is that it would be an outstanding achievement for a rookie DT if he did make it.

So few of them start before their 2nd or 3rd year that if i was Shanny I would be planning around the idea that he won't be playing, whilst giving him every opportunity to show that he can.

Hence the signing of Adams as insurance, and Kennedy as insurance for Adams....chances are we have a vet starting ahead of Thomas this year, whatever kind of player he turns out to be for us down the stretch

Once he left ****spin, it totally declined into pure garbage.
