I know, I know. This is about the team, and I would like any of our D-ends to excel this year. However, I love the way Elvis had a quietly huge year in 06 and flew under the radar. He could have easily had double digit sacks and was constantly beating the Tackle around the end (then held up short by chip blocks in the backfield). I think our new scheme and "fat boys" will only help his production. I want Moss and Crowder to be the best they can be, but I will be cheering for Elvis while the other guys develop.

BTW - in this pic, he looks like he is getting ready for a boxing match. He looks tough and ready. I hope Elvis get 12 sacks and finds more playing time this year - Go Elvis!

Here, Here. I really like Elvis and hope he can continue to contribute this year. I think anyone that knocks him for his size, should remember a certain cornerback we lost last year. He was small, but played like a 7ft giant.

Here's to hoping Elvis doesn't leave the building!

Elvis should certainly have the opportunity to excel in Bate's system...

It'll be interesting to see how all these pieces including (Dume) will fall inot place

I think that Elvis can be an every down DE for us this year. The Bates scheme suits his game perfectly, and he proved last year that his strengths translate onto the NFL field. I also don't think he'll be blown up on running plays. He clearly understands the principles of leverage and has learned how to use his size to his advantage. That doesn't change on running plays.
