Hey guys I'm watching the NBA finals right now, and they were just talking about how great the Spurs were, showing their winning percentage over the past decade as the best of any sports franchise.
Well they compared it to the leader of each sport and guess which team was there for the NFL?
No other franchise wins more than this one over the past decade, and as popular as it is to talk about the patriots, they haven't done it for 10 years. I wonder where Shanahan's win percentage as a head coach will rank if this continues.

Yeah, I saw that, it was beautifull
1 Spurs
2 Red Wings
3 Broncos
4 Pats

We have been spoiled since Shanahan took the reins. I would like a few more rings though.
OT-You would think the NBA would take a lesson from the NFL and just make rules that allow the "chosen" team to win the title like the Colts. Not the blatant handing of the trophy to the Spurs that appears to be the tack by Stern and the NBA.

Shanny just doesn't get enough credit does he?....

We should never hope to have another head coach. The league knows just how good Shanny is. If he ever hit the open market, teams would line up like Shanny came with a key to Fort Knox.
The Spurs are pretty darn good. I wouldnt say that it is their organization as much as it is Tim Duncan. Duncan has basically brought his teammates along one-by-one. He's the best teammate in all of sports, hands down. I have heard some great stories about how he builds up his teammates.
Unlike Dirk :)

Dirk's a great teammate. He isnt Tim Duncan though.
Duncan has been the best player in the league since his second season.

Fire Shanahan, I say. We need an Art Shell or Norv Turner to invigorate this franchise...

Excuse me? Like usual? Whatever.
If you mention the Chiefs you're just a deflection artist.

Deflection artist? I consider myself more of an irony detector. See, when I see a Chiefs fan talk about playoff wins, or lack thereof, my little irony detector goes off. Since, as you probably well know, the Chiefs haven't seen a playoff win since 1994, and haven't sniffed a championship since my dad was 6.
See how that works? I'm not deflecting anything, I can't somehow come up with explainations or excuses for Denver's lack of playoff wins since the Superbowl Years. However, at least we've had Super Bowl years in recent memory and a playoff win a year ago.

Why do you guys even respond to lardass? That fat, ignorant piece of **** sees threads like this and can't help but try to tear the Broncos down because he has such an inferiority complex, being a Chiefs fan and all.
We know the Broncos are a far superior organzation than the Chiefs...
...he knows it too.
And besides, its not like his opinion holds any value.

If you read the first post, it's talking about the past decade. I think we have a few more than one in that time span, but I'll have to double check.

Sure, we have been horrible in the playoffs.
But that doesn't mean your futility in the playoffs isn't bad either.

Comparison time...
KC Cheaps-
Wins 374
Losses 321
Ties 13
Division Champions 8
Playoffs
19 appearances
Wins 7*
Losses 12
3 AFC/AFL Championships.( Could be 2 if you discount the Texans)
Super Bowl Champion 1*
Super Bowl Losses 1
* Note: Chiefs have not won a Super Bowl since 1969 nor had a playoff win since 1993. The only teams that do not have a more recent win in the playoffs than the Chiefs are Cincinnati (1990), Detroit (1991) and if you want to include the Houston Texans.
Denver Broncos
Wins 388
Losses 342
Ties 10
Division Champions 10
Playoffs
31 appearances
Wins 17
Losses 14
AFC Championships 6
Super Bowl Champion 2*
Super Bowl Losses 4
*Note: 2 Super Bowl wins were back to back. Meanwhile the Cheaps are taking nearly 4 decades to work on that second one...
AWESOME!!!!

And I don't see the comparison when KC will be working on year 14 of their playoff victory drought next year, while Denver is only a few years removed from a playoff victory that propelled them into the AFC Championship game...

Ahh yes, irony is abound in this thread.
Let me explain something to you, KMart. See, you guys haven't won a single playoff game since what? 1994? Dare I list all the accomplishments Denver has made since that time frame?
And I loved your analogy too. The thing is though, seeing as how you guys haven't won a playoff game in over 12 years and yet you and your fat friend Bobo show up in this thread to cut us down...that's kinda like the 500lb man (you) calling the 400lb man (us) fat.
Now that I've turned your own analogy around and used it against you, do you see how stupid you look? :welcome:

Boy, this guy is right up there with Boob. There has been maybe 7 or 8 that have won it since. But keep replacing the first line in the sand with this one. Every stat you Chief fans throw out, we have a better one to knock out your teeth. It is better to keep your mouth shut and make us wonder then to open it and remove all doubt . (Twain)

He's fighting Bob for the title of poster who is most ignorant about the game of football. Speaking of which, did you see the beatdown that Med gave him in another thread a few days back? It was epic!

Well, Herm says you play to win the game. Apparently that is what the Broncos do more than ANY team over the past 10 years.
Awesome job. Best coach, best team, best fans (namely me) - what more could you ask for.
